I always wanted to see this and never have. Looks really great. Unusual but effective choice of music. There are moments here that look really contemporary, too. Very nice introduction to this film, I feel.
Any films with nuns in them I give a wide berth to!! However this film is very well made and you have given this a good choice of music background!! Your editing as usual is first class!! Well done!!
This was on TCM not too long ago, and I started to watch it, but then changed my mind and went to sleep. Your video made me wish I had stayed up and watched it. Great job, Craig, as usual.
Wonderful video! It's beautiful to see the landscapes in The East, instead on a Hollywood set. An emotional film, well cast. This music is ideal. 5**s
I got curious to see the movie! I know the title, but I've never seen. Beautiful image of Deborah Kerr in the foreground! Great music, perfectly fitted to the images! Thumbs up!
...had the luck to see this on the big screen...sexy, erotic, passionate......Powell and Pressburger made the first nunsploitation movie...hope your tribute turns others on to it.
Another excellent job there Craig! It's amazing how you connect all these movie classics together! You have helped bring back many memories of some I've long forgotten about. The first clip ( I forgot his name) was in the movie classic "The Thief Of Bagdad" (I think came out in 1961). Thanks again for all your hard work putting this and others together.
I don't need to tell you that this is another great tribute: you know it is! Beautiful, beautiful stuff. The best use of the early Technicolor process. Deborah Kerr (again, beautiful!!). If it weren't for Scorsese's adoration of Powell's films, I probably would never have seen this. I hope you're doing okay, man, and thanks for *not* making a compilation of, er, "Shelley-Winters-drowning" films or try to polish the "Night of the Lepus" turd, to really milk my earlier bad jokes.
Exquisite presentation of the beauty ,sensuality and story of this very moving and beautiful film I love you chose this song of Enigma very nice with the video !
This is beautiful Craig! Many thanks for this video!

The words you used for the movie are the same I use for your video: elegant and stunning!
(By the way, any movie with Deborah Kerr, is, by nature, elegant and sometimes even stunning.)
Just one stupid question. How is it that there is a black border on all the four sides of the video?
christopher242424 7 months ago
@christopher242424 thank u so much Chris....the borders are a YT thing ..can't explain!
