It's not that animals are sinful, it's just that when Adam sinned, death entered the world and became a part of the existance of everything that lives on this planet. Diseases such as cancer then became a part of the equation of our existance because of Adam sinning.

Ok, let's be a little more precise: did adam have testicles before eve existed? He didn't need those to pee. Originally he didn't need them to reproduce. The all-seeing god found out Adam was lonely (another paradox!) and did major surgery. Most men would be concerned about this, but it is not reported. The bellybutton is not a mystery for free thinkers - Adam is a character in a fable that doesn't say, so there is no answer. For you it is a problem, but the testicles problem is much worse.

Sorry sablechicken, I didn't mean to be obscure. In the classical physics view there are two possibilities for whether Adam was created with testicles: either he had them or he didn't have them. In quantum mechanics, which I certainly am not an expert in, there is a third possibility: both occur at the same time. You can read about this as the Schrodinger's Cat problem. If that happened, according to quantum mechanics, even god would not know the state. But that's impossible.

Ok, so that leaves us with the classical states. One or the other must be true. If Adam did have testicles, God made a mistake to not immediately create Eve. If Adam did not have testicles, then it is really hard to see why this major change to Adam was not reported and God made a mistake in his initial design. Sure, I'm a molecular biologist so I know exactly what they do when they make GMO (genetically modified organisms) - I've done it myself in the lab. Scientists were initially extremely concerned about this - look up Asilomar and Recombinant DNA. But we then learned that transposable elements do this kind of thing all the time. Corn is a nice example - we engineered it to be a really good food. The same with bananas and I'm sure many other foods. We engineered dogs out of wolves.
