@w00t692 the TSX is actually over 3200lbs I was about 200lbs and my passenger was 270lbs. The Civic's driver and passenger were 150lbs + Si yea.. a slight weight advantage
The main thing that hurts my TSX is the gearing. Its geared more towards practical driving. Its not built for performance. Its an 04 with crappy cams and a 25 degree VTC mechanism. At higher rpms the TSX doesnt shine unless I get an RBC Intake manifold but my TSX has the RBB which is built for low end/mid range torque. The Si comes stock with the RBC thats why he keeps up at higher RPMs. His car breaths better than my TSX higher in the RPM range. Tune or not, I need more for my high end
ur car is quick taking in consideration that ur car weight around 3000 lb, the cams are less agressive, intake manifold with long runners and lock of rev high. nice runs
gtdrummerdude.. Uh where did you get that info from?? My TSX had full interior and those are the stock rims which are heavy as hell and i dont have carbon fiber body panels..haha. My TSX weighs 3200lbs plus my 200lbs plus my passenger which is 265lbs. My friends Si weighs i think 2900lbs and he weighs roughly 160lbs and his passenger weighs about the same.
Ok so now you have a bolt-on, Kpro TSX with no rear seats, stripped trunk, carbon fiber body panels, light weight wheels etc to beat a stock SI. Still looks shitty for the TSX. The TSX is heavier, too bad. Add more power or do a motor swap, or maybe choose a different car to begin with like a TL. The SI already weighs 2900 lbs, that's heavy for a Civic. My '82 Mustang 5.0 weighs 2920 lbs in factory form with leather apholstery and a cast iron engine.

Yea for this summer it'll be alil quicker. Im upgrading to 06 TSX cams and RRC Intake Manifold and rasing the limiter to 8K.

@PrecyseStylez Get the rsx type S intake manifold and your ecu tuned by Hondata you will be flying.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
TSX's suck lol. A handful of bolt-ons and Kpro to keep up with a stock 09 SI. I would take the SI anyday over the TSX.
gtdrummerdude 2 years ago
@gtdrummerdude Shave off some weight, and that TSX will smoke the Si
