Great video! Is there a way I can use my Oxygen 8 to control Redrum in Reason 4? If so, how would I map it? I'm new to beat making; your vids are really helpful. Thanks!!
@3for10Productions - Glad you like the video. Yes, you can use the Oxygen 8 to control the Redrum in Reason. With your Oxygen 8 plugged in, select the Redrum you want to control and just start pressing keys. You may have to adjust/transpose the key range to get the keys to trigger the samples, but it's really simple. Let me know if this helps.
@TaurusBeats Thanks, I got it. It was a super simple fix- I had to change the octave on the controller for it to pick up. I'm still getting the hang of all of it... I think lol.
@TaurusBeats fl 10...i've been using it for years since version 3 but i have worked wit reason b4...its a good program and everybody has their preference u know
@NorthCockItBack07 - I have FL too, but I've been using Reason since it came out. You're right, everyone has a preference. I want to use FL more, but I'm kinda stuck in the Reason way of doing things for now.
indeed bruh, ive been checking your vids since last year, its very entertaining the way you manipulate the samples and put your sequences together ive learned some tips in the past from you, blessings keep doing what you do....peace
@djDMANCQ - Thanks, fam! Glad that you are learning from the videos. I will continue to make tutorial vids and share what I've learned. Grace and Peace!
Is there no way to route them to separate tracks (modules) in reason? Like MPD controls the KONG and the Oxygen controls the NNXT? Like for a live show with two people controlling separate instruments.
@winchellproductions There is ... right click on the track or device and on the bottom of the menu u'll have the option to lock that device to your chosen controller that way the controller will be exclusive to the device.
@djDMANCQ - Both controllers are using USB and going into USB ports on my pc. When I use the Yamaha DJX, it uses MIDI and is connected to the PC via a MIDI port on my sound card. Does that help?
