I haven't seen alot of that stuff-But i blush to say I have one of the egg thingys-someone gave it to me-I guess they really don't like me huh? I never knew how to use it-it didn't come with instructions!-Jamie
I think that egg peeler was somthing someone made and knew it did not work well but said hey we gotta sell em and try to get out investment back....lol
I got that one from someone at work who was selling stuff as a fund raiser for her kid. That was the cheapest thing in the book.
Macy's web site sells a Martha Stewart one but if you do a Google for garlic tube peeler a bunch of them will show up. If seen them on those impulse buy display stands in the produce department too.
I would definitely replace it if anything happened to it.
Do you know, I have one of those garlic roller thingies and never use it? I prefer getting my fingers all stinky and stuff lol. Orange Peeler!! Same color too! Oh snap! Roc is going to Canadian Tire now. We have created a monster. I love that little cute measuring cup thingy. Sue sent me one. I LOVE IT. It looks like an Alien Substation. An egg peeler. Good grief. I'm going to say it was a bad purchase. Yep. See? 3 of 24. Yeah. Bad purchase. lol @ that's getting edited ;)
If you do the 8.8.8 thing you should check Canadian Tire out your own self. Interesting store... not just tires. Matter of fact, I dont remember seeing tires.
Garlic by hand. I do it some times but I usually never can stop at just a couple cloves. Good way to get the stink off is to rinse your hands under running water while rubbing a piece of stainless steel something in your hands. A spoon or a butter knife works great. Takes the smell right off. Something about ion exchange.
Yes, Roc has spoken about Canadian Tire before and how it has everything probably but tires. I found that interesting. I actually like the smell of garlic, so having it on my hands is a good thing. And I sniff my fingers. I'm sure it looks gross when I do it, but even last night, before I showered, I had to sniff it one last time :)
Cool way to store the garlic peeler, Dave! The two things go hand in hand! (Martha Stewart loves that garlic peeler!) I've never seen a meat tenderizer like that before! OOOOOH! I am off to Canadian Tire! The spice container is great. I like that it will stick to the fridge. I do watch Alton Brown, but I haven't seen that measuring device here yet. The grapefruit thing looks dangerous! ... What IS that squishy thing?? An egg peeler? oooooooh. My husband has to see that thing! hahahahaha
I saw Beth's orange peeler also...and those things are awesome. I got my dad one of those egg things. It lives in a box somewhere...lol. Although the key to the egg thing is to chill them in cold water so the egg white is pretty firm. We still just peel them by hand.
Dude you are hilarious!

As Seen On TV should be synonymous with Buyer Beware.
It's more of a collector's item now.

I totally get that. Even if it does sound a little strange, finger sniffing. LOL
Life can be hectic. Everyone needs to take the time to stop and sniff their fingers once in a while. ;)

I actually haven't see Alton use the measuring thing in a while. I think he came to the realization that it's not too practical either.
Canadian Tire sold those containers both singly and in a set with a metal tray that you could mount to the inside of a cabinet door.

I peel by hand too. I tried cold, warm, new, old, it sucks.
