In marching band size really doesn't matter its about the clarity of your sound and cleanliness of your marching. Put the two togerther and you will have a great marching band.
Also, I wish they would base your class on band size instead of school size at State like every other competition. Maybe that way Fort Dorchester will have even the slightest chance on scoring high. Our show rocked this year, but we got last place compared to all of these gigantic 5A bands. We scored much higher when we were judged against bands of the same size at other competitions. I think I'll write to the SCBDA about this.
I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! If we were still in 4A we couldve kicked some tail. But what is really bad is the smaller bands like you guys and stratford who barely have a chance with all this humongous bands...like us XD yeah write a letter! i could agree with you more.
You are right, you guys had a good show this year, but if you have a full video you could better understand this. There was phasing in the opener. But it was probably by far one of my favorites. (Coming from a former BSHS band member.) I was there and personally I thought you guys' prelims run was better. Great show and congrats. I mean, it could be worse, you couldn't have made finals, but I don't think that would ever happen. Lol.
that show still gives me chill bumps..

Man, I loved this show! Best one of the night.
