Are there actually any divers sent off to search for victims under water?
Certainly this becomes a lesson where all clubs and societies should learn.
Safety is the primary concern for all activities, not only water, but also fire etc...
Before each activity is carried out, safety check should be done. I think most of the people miss this. The Ministry of Education shouldn't blame the school as well. They should have offered better facilities to all schools to prevent accidents from happening.
so future safety, location, life jacket, swim, n all the clubs must have a life safety courses, such as how to swim when strong current or waves. n help others. n also must have a an experienced tekong, its happened b4 in cambodia, 4 singaporean dies, when their tekong tired, cannot control the boat due to strong current n hit the platoon, all the rowers didnt wear life jacket, seems that non of the clubs learned that lesson,
Too young too die... My mum say that if we are good, God will call us and laid to be rest. We cannot do something about it, the only thing that we can do is pray to God.
I apologize About my message that cause some conflict. That day i to angry!6 ppl dead,it very sad.i cant control my emosion. You all righ,t the coach is right. The person should responsible is the person who choose thea young teacher that without experience be their coach. That person is and must responsible to this tragedy!
@gf2468 actually for me the location, the location wasnt safety non of the clubs in penang train there, only their team or club, cos others train in penang water sports for canoe, sailing n dragon boating, and in teluk bahang dam.
I believe that God had a plan for them. They were chosen because God thought they were ready to return home. They didn't die blindly. Although it brought much hurt to everyone, although it was unfair, it taught everyone a lesson.. God bless and R.I.P.
This is clearly the instructors' and coaches fault. Not wearing safety jacket is the most basic rule. The instructors and the dragon boat team or organisation they belong to must be severely penalised for this. These are bright young lives who have been taken away due to gung ho, show off and reckless attitude by the people who were supposed to ensure their safety.
What the fuck up their coach are doing????????They must knw problem that may face in sea,so what the hell they still order them to trainng in sea?Dam not the choice?Brainless! One more thing where are theire safety clothes,2 over 18 people just wear it?bullshit! They deal the stdent life with mother nature! But they still say donot wear safety clothes is normal phenomena!
Who suggested the venue in the first place, INSPITE of being told that the area has strong undercurrents and is not suitable? The December Pesta Dragon boat saw collision of boats and slight injuries to some rowers.
Chung Ling headmaster says he is willing to be held responsible if investigations shows that the school is at fault.
Now what about the person who suggested the venue inspite of being told of its dangers? How come no sound from the person?
The message i say is my angryness after reading this news,For me i thing how come a responsible teacher do not knw that undercureent in the sea.Rediculous man!If they dont knw how come they suitable to become a coach which will responsible to 18 student life?????
@gf2468 Do you think that the coach wanted this to happen? EVERYONE is upset over this... What happened is done. There's no use pointing fingers at anyone. Just let the mourners mourn in peace...
OMG...is like so sad lo...T_T stillso young ar...when ii look at the newspaper or news... my tears seems like drop down its own self... OMG... hope they rest in peace...T_T
