hello, yes very accurate barels they have, the hornet is out of production at the moment. 4.5mm is the same as .177 its only a difference in metric system between imperial like meters is metric and yards is from imperial so it is 0.177 inch you see.
i had a bsa supersport export model which had more spring power...but it kept falling apart due to the recoil shock. Now i have a crappy gamo 1000fps rifle, doesnt have near as much grunt as the bsa ,but at least its not dropping apart.
I'm looking to get into air rifles, ive done a bit before and did quite well. Could you suggest a good starter? im willing to spend about £200 which i geuss is about $400.
you could go for a bsa lightning or 30 or 40 pound more for an xl lightning. xl lightning was my starter gun and is amazing but im upgrading to a bsa ultra
Well a good starting gun is the crosman Quest 1000...you better check out some reviews about that gun and then you decide (if you want a gun with a scope then you should go for the Quest 1000x)hope i helped!!!
I have a BSA XL Lightning in 22 (USA import full power)I put a D-143 night vision scope and a laser / flashlight on it. It is my pride and joy - Rat Rig -
Wow! I didn't know that! I was looking at the multi shot hornet the other day and thinking what a beautiful rifle it was - I'm pretty tempted!
To give you an idea of the 'kick' from my lightning, it has shattered 2 stocks! I haven't upgraded the spring or anything - it's crazy! I had to custom make a stock using bits of the 2 broken ones with metal bracing - seriously! :D
I hate to say. But I can do the same with my .22 FX Revolution pellet gun. Only not 50 meters but 100 meters. It shoots 16Gr pellets at just over 930ft per second. At a 100 meters I can get a cluster of 12 shots inside 5cm. I use a Bushnell scope 7-21x40. Over that distance it drops 20cm. It's one of the most powerful air guns on the market today. Swiss made. A true weapon.
Hello pete, the fx looks like a great rifle but also very expensive, probably because of the semi auto function.I know what airrifles with that power are capable off at 100 meters with the right pellets, I owned a powerfull career707, but hated the powercurve. Now i'am looking in to buy an S16S at 30FPE also enough to shoot at 100m and has also a big reservoir .Oh this wasn't a show of film... as you started your message with "i hate to say",I just like making those little films.
Well. I like the short films. And I rated it high. Isn't it true that once a pellet reaches the speed of sound the accuracy drops? What do you think the best feet per second is for a .22? Yes, the FX cost an arm and a leg damn it. =(
has something to do with the shape of the pellet causing turbulence at that speed.I heared to keep it around 900fps, so your fx is in a good speed ,your groupings at 100m are speaking for themselves :) .
no i putted 2 peaces of very thick glass from a broken glass table in front of the camera. One of the peaces didn't survive in the film but did his job very well.
i see u shoot very god but man you shoot the camera because it was too close of the target i have made the same mestake and dont say that it is not the camera becouse i can listen
I have a a tasco varmint 6-24*52 on it,but I usually do not go higher than magnification x10. Your ultra should give u about the same results although what I have red about it on other owners comments about it, I do not own one myself. What ammo are u using,I use jsb exact 4.52 mm
I was aiming for the power button so I din't have to walk over there :) to stop recording , no luckely it was the glass I put in front of the camera that broke.
bsa hornet, one of the most accurate air rifles available to buy :)
great shooting with it and almost every shot hit the middle of the potato if im right?
and is it a 4.5 calibre or 4.5mm pellets which is a .177 calibre?

Oh ok then, im terribly sorry.. I didnt know that the BSA i have seen have open sights so i just assumed. once again sorry mate....
Im thinking of goign out with my 22-250 soon to shoot some dogs... jealous:P
huggie22250 4 years ago
50 metres is alright for a pellet gun, but maybe you should shoot without a scope... if you want to be good dont shoot with a scope
huggie22250 4 years ago
there are no aimpoints on a bsa hornet. Its build to put a scope on it
