Then you could consider all the american wave bands that copied them, like Legend (us), Bang (us), Cirith Ungol (us)...(I said US by them as there are many countries now copying their names)

I think the new setlist is great! most bands play the same songs over and over on each tour, and they add a few songs from the latest album, while there are so many other good songs, that you'll never hear live. But maiden DOES play such songs! I'm really happy they didn't forget the more recent albums! :)

we all love the classics but think about it, the last tour was a set of ALL classics...nothing beyond 7th Son. The same went with the tour before the MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH tour and also the same went with the tour that had the return of Bruce. So thats 3 tours with nothing but old school classics in the past 10 years. They are legends but dont just rest on being a "retro" band. Their new music is some of the best metal being dished out.
No offense, but I don't see what all the Hoopla is about. Admittedly I've never seen them, but I just don't get them. Friends of mine rave about these guys and aside from a few songs, I don't see what all the fuss is about. There are other way more talented bands out there than these guys (Metallica and Godsmack among them). Just my opinion.

IT's all personal taste. I know dudes who hate Maiden and guys who love them. If Maiden were the only band, we'd all listen to them.

They Did A Tour In 2005, it was their first four albums. Then they did the next tour which was the next four albums. Now they did this last tour with all the rest of the albums.

I LOVED the setlist...you have to take into consideration that they have been playing run to the hills in every concert since it came out.... They probably are just trying to do something new
@BobertIsComing just to clarify they didn't play Run to the Hill on the Brave New World Tour (except in Rio) and they didn't play it on the A Matter of Life and Death Tour. They have, however, played Fear of the Dark on every tour since it was released. I wish they would give it a rest.

@queensthug Please. Firsr of all, it's all what you like. Godsmack is accomplished as well. Given as much time as Maiden, they can become a "classic" band as well. And hate to break it to you, but Shannon Larkin is a ground breaking drummer. Many people try to imitate his style and cant. As for Sully, I'd put him up against Maiden's front man anytime. IT's all personal taste. I know dudes who hate Maiden and guys who love them. If Maiden were the only band, we'd all listen to them.

They Did A Tour In 2005, it was their first four albums. Then they did the next tour which was the next four albums. Now they did this last tour with all the rest of the albums.

There were kids in the audience at this show seeing Maiden for the first time, how the fuck do you think they felt? They must hate Maiden now. It's not all about you guys who have seen them before. @BobertIsComing just to clarify they didn't play Run to the Hill on the Brave New World Tour (except in Rio) and they didn't play it on the A Matter of Life and Death Tour. They have, however, played Fear of the Dark on every tour since it was released. I wish they would give it a rest.
