Actually, the movie is based on a book by L. Frank Baum (actually there was a pretty long series of Oz books), and Wicked was written as a prologue to the book... So both the movie and Wicked have the same basis, but some of the more subtle things in Wicked are more consistent with the book than the movie.

Hmm... When I was little, I used to adore this movie. But last year, on the last day of school, we started to watch it and Oz really creeped me out. You know how it's so birhgt, unrealistically bright? The Munchkins were also a little creepy at points.
