Once you could rely on Fifth Gear for producing some proper car reviews- but they have tried to copy Top Gears Hollywood entertainment format- and failed miserably, and the presenters are just shocking. Johnny Smith, the most irritating person on television, how he managed to gain a career in television is unbelievable. Jason Plato is an obnoxious twat who thinks he's gods gift and Tim Shaw who isn't actually that bad but crosses his legs in an overly homosexual manor.

@onabreeze dude they all used to work together on top gear till around 2001 clarkson left top gear to do other programmes, tiff and vicki along with the 'old' top gear production staff left the bbc and went to channel five and created fifth gear. then around 2003 clarkson along with hammond (and some other guy who left after 1st series) started the new top gear, james may joined in series 2 and the rest is history, top gear has been on the bbc in some shape or form for 30 odd years

@MrBugattiVeyron1 Fifth Gear is more for car enthusiasts, I agree that Tiff is quite boring not as charismatic at times as the Top Gear journalists but to suggest he is a shit driver just shows you know sweet FA about motorsport or cars. In the British F1 series he beat guys like Geoff Lees, Derek Wawick, David Purley, David Leslie, Jean-Pierre Jaussaud etc. Not to mention he finished 3rd overall in Le Mans. He is a pretty good driver mate.
