  • Thanks for the post. This brings back such wonderful memories. I was getting my Learners' Permit to drive and even my Mom liked it!

  • Robert Lamm-a magnificent songwriter and singer. WOW!

  • This song real remain a true classic.

  • So sad I missed this time in music!

    What a song!

  • 2 people don't know what time it is.

  • :)

  • this song is fucking awesome!!! :D

  • Great song! Thanks for posting

  • this song would be a good song for katamari

  • great song

  • I heard that this song was about how we were knee deep in Vietnam but people acted as if nothing was happening out of the ordinary in their everyday lives--just another news story--is that right?

  • Kinda like whats going on now?

  • Man I head bang to this stuff lol

  • nice very good ahaha

  • omg i heard this song so long ago!!!!

  • great stuff! im 13, hate new music.

  • Good for you! New music is all garbage. How anybody could hate this is beyond me.

  • Thats right a time when they didnt stomp around the stage with their hats on sideways and pants falling off their rear ends.....TALKING about bitches and hos and killin cops. Like the riff raff of today does.

  • Oh, my god! Chicago kicks ass! lol!

  • From a time when music was REAL!

  • friggin magic baby!

  • I grew up listenin to Chicago along with some Santana and Al Green...good times!

  • thanks for uploading full version

  • Does Anybody.......? Yes, I do. The time was fast approaching 25 or 6 to 4.....and wh@ a cool time it was, yea... : )

  • Ooooh! GREAT share, EL!

And kudos for the upload, Megamechababe. Thanks very much. Loved it. :)

  • thanks bellinghamster14..u are right i thought it was someone attempting to do the cover to this song lol great song learning this for karaoke....

  • When I first heard it I thought this was a youtube fan trying to play it on their home piano. I had never heard the long version in my entire life. Funny, how I have made a point to listen to it 4 times now.

Such a great song full of energy and passion.

  • The intro really adds so much more to the song. I love it. <3

  • I still want John Legend to do this song

  • I remember this song from when I was a kid and I never heard that intro before! Wonderful! Love the song even more now!

  • its classic! seriously? green day? wanna be emo gay rock? they need to learn what music is! they need to grow a pair and stop wearing eyeliner like homos! go chicago!

  • it feels so empty without it.

and i hate when they edit chicago songs. any of them. originals all the way. :)

  • That intro really was too long and rambling. You shouldn't take this personally.

  • It is supposed to sound a bit mixed up, it is used often in classic music. Have a good sounding chord, then a few that sound off, then a come back into good sounding ones. Creates some nice contrast.

  • Wow, you must be a doctor or Fleet Admiral for your time to be so important (is that why you're on youtube?)

Not everything can be composed like a Green Day song.

  • That intro sure was long... I don't really have the time to sit through it all so I skipped ahead.

  • Not everything can be composed like a Green Day song.

  • the intro is marvelous. go die in a fire, please.

but feel free to come back when you've developed a taste in good music. <3

  • Thats a little harsh megachababe. This intro is kind of long but I still like it. By the way I like stuff like Lamb of God, Mudvayne, Slipknot, and a lot of heavy stuff, but I love this stuff too.

  • @Bellinghamster14 WHAT IS MUSICALITY ? Do you know ?

    * * * MUSIC - IS - AS - BIG - AS - LIFE - ITSELF * * *

    - and *every* mood, every nuance of feeling, every spirit, every thought, and dream, and hope, and passion, and joy, and tear, and LOVE - everything under Heaven ... is voiced, expressed, transferred to other fellow humans in and through music. Music is the language of the soul. - There is such overwhelming riches !

The intro *belongs* to this composition. Period.

  • @buildelectriccarsnow I suppose Musicality is talent for music.

Like your talent for appreciating electric cars. Not everyone does.

  • my hs marching band is doing chicago

    were awsome

  • i miss my polyesther pants and going to montgomery wards ... long live the 70's

  • I want John Legend to do this song

  • this is one of chicago's best songs. I have been a fan of them since i was like 5. Now 9 years later, i STILL love them to this day.

  • Haven't heard this is a long time.. Still sounds fresh and alive. This is one of the albums you had in your collection in the late 60's / early 70's. I still have my vinyl althought I don't have a turntable.
