You see that stance he is taking? crouched over like that? He hates it. You should not own an african grey and I agree with the guy below me. The bird is terrified so its enduring it. You are supposed to mist the bird due to the high humidity content in africa and south america. Birds usually like to soak themselves not be subjected to that? Poor thing. Its not a fucking dog, learn how to take care of your parrot
the bird will not try to fly to get away you stupid idiot bird abuser ! ... the bird knows it cant fly at all when soaked ! and fears just jumping to floor to be hurt !!! soooo it just sits there praying not to drown in that f%#&king monsoon hes STUCK UNDER YOU IDIOT !!! I hope you dont have the water temp too hot and cook the bird !!! ... I have a yellow naped amazon for 20 years now and whould never duesh my little buddy like that your moron. try a spray bottle and a few misty squirts
why don't you watch the other videos of birds taking a shower maybe you will learn what not to do. i paid a lot of money for my bird so you must have got yours for free the way you treat you bird
lol i dont put my bird in the shower but sometimes in the summer when its not cold [so he doesnt get sick] we spray him with a water bottlel and he lieks that but most of the time he goes by his water bowl and throws his water around everywhere lol i think he is like taking his own litle bath when he does that hehe lol :] they are so cute
Why? Because you're an idiot? This bird is perfectly fine and enjoying it. If you owned a bir, you would no. But alas, you are commenting on something you know nothing about. You probably do this a lot.
My bird used to do that untill we got our new shower put in, so, now, he just flies out of the opening of the shower, sits on a tall dresser-drawer & chirps untill I come out.
They don't flap around like when they're taking their own bath. They don't mind it, and it's good for them. Makes them less itchy. Search for TigerBird vids. He takes his own bath about once a week. When they're flapping their wings and flicking it with their beak, they're trying to get the water up on top of them. Yeah, they like it.
she doesn't seem to be enjoying it... a parrot actually enjoying a shower will fluff up her feathers and beat her wings, not just stand there and look around helplessly. try a dish of water instead.
Wow, did he just take to that or did you have to train him? Our grey is always trying to fit in her water dish but obviously can't fit. We got her a big bathing bowl, but she won't do anything but drink out of it... She hates being misted too. No way shower!
It takes a while (with budgies too). It has to be in familiar place. And I found out the water has to be *warm* - my budgie is very fussy about that. Not too cool, not too warm, just so or no bathing. And he has to taste it for 3 minutes before actually getting it.
He ends up taking a bath once a month or two, whether he needs it or not! I guess that tells you many parrots don't like water!
If yuur gonna make the bird shower in an actual shower dont make too hot and if the birds too close itll get hurt from the water pressure

This is bird abuse. Do not do this to your bird. Misting with a spray bottle is appropriate. Stop disseminating harmful information.
