I do not believe there's 2 sides to Pantera. There's only 1 Pantera whether their sound changed a bit. To me they are still the gods that inspire me all day, everyday. The Beatles changed their sound too after years of playing together and yet they remain the legendary Beatles right? Well same rules apply in my book. Just enjoy PANTERA!
I remember when PowerMetal came out back in the day. We were all saying what the fuck happened to Pantera's good singer. What's all this growing shit? Phil who?
Why do I keep running into comments that says, "This is nothing heavier than what Phil did". Or "CFH" was much heavier than this. Listen, we all know that Phil did his greatest in the band, but so did Terry Glaze. Quit talking down on him, grab a beer, and enjoy the song for fuck's sake. I'm sick of everyone comparing Phil with Terry Glaze.
I know they said that Terry Glaze didn't have the voice that Pantera was looking for, but this is personally one of my favorite albums with Terry Glaze in it.
This is one of my favorite Pantera songs of the early era & kicks so much ass in so many ways it hard to comprehend ! Blistering all the way through, & puts you " Right On The Edge " ! They were some tight ass & rockin' metal & I will never stop loving it ! What a great era of Pantera . . . Thank goodness for the friggin' internet, because I've not heard these in years, & it sounds so great...
