Uh. You do know that it's very, very easy to drop $10,000 or more on a quality mandolin, right? That's without even getting into vintage instruments. Old Gibson mandolins go for more than $80,000

Violin? Current factory violins are pretty low quality. If you want a good violin, go find an old one floating around a pawn shop, or on ebay. That's where the good violin deals are at.

Stay away from recently-made, branded violins.

My mandolin was built by french luthier Hervé Coufleau who builds mainly guitars, but also some nice mandolins. I am just uploading another video played on this mandolin - maybe you like it too.
