  • I bought this gun for myself for christmas. I put first hundred rounds through it that very day. everything works very nice. Not a single fail to load or feed. However, after i got it home and did a better cleaning on it i did find that the right side safety was loose and could not operate to safe position from that side. I have not been back to dealer to inquire about repair,replacement. I would buy again, watch for loose safety.

  • i'm sold, too.. this is my next gun... i totally want!!! lol

  • I am sold. I am buying one for my off-duty carry. I use to own a Taurus PT-58 which was, at the time a clone of the Beretta 84. I liked it, but got rid of because it would not feed hollow points.

  • Hi Nelson;

    ;

    Any updates on the MS380?is it work reliable? how is the accuracy up to 25 yards?

  • No, I don't know for sure, but since it's a virtually exact copy of the Cheetah, I'd bet that those Pachs would indeed fit the MS380 too. It already has a nice, meaty grip, being a double-stack, so I don't feel the need to make it any thicker. But the plaques are hard plastic with shallow checkering, so it isn't a great design in a tactical environment where you're drowning in mud, blood, and tears. It's too pretty a gun to get all dirty anyway - I'll use my Glock for that. No grips for me.

  • Love the review, how do yoy like the grips that came with it? I see that Pachmayr sells wrap around grips for the Beretta Cheetah/84, do you know if they would fit your gun?

  • Wow - that's terrible! Call the company and see what they'll do for you. My bet is that it's a mag problem. Did you try all your magazines? Usually they function-check the gun adequately at the factory, but they ship with new, untested mags.

  • I just bought ATI FS40 and I never thought a pistol can jam this much, I shot 100 rounds of winchester ranger hp and had at least 6 fail to feed. cheap hi point probably more reliable than this gun. hopefully its just a break in period. when I first recieved the gun, because it look so cool, I was actually was going to buy MS380 and C45 but I am glad I didnt. I just polished the feed ramp a bit so I am hoping it will feed ok now.

  • nice video..i have waited for this pistol to become available , great value. you can over look the minor stuff. a real good shooting pistol for that price..finally.

  • Hello, I like your review and I have decided to buy the pistol as soon as I can, I have checked other models like the Bersa Thunder and he Cz 83, bu it seems to me from what I see in the video this pistol is more gun(maybe the dimensions or the balance) than the Bersa and even the CZ 83 from what I see in the videos, more easy to shot with less muzzle climb, is that possibly true? that here is more rest to the shooter and easy to place the shot with lees gun variation shot after shot?

  • @alvgalb

    The Thunder Plus is the model that is most like this MS380 because it's a double stack. The CZ holds 10+1, the MS380 12+1, and the Thunder Plus 15+1.

    It's true that .380 is much easier to keep on target than 9mm for faster follow-ups, especially in a full-sized pistol like the double-stacks. I haven't compared it to the others, but any of the big .380's would be a good choice for a recoil-sensitive or beginner shooter.

    Before you buy, go to a range and try out a few.

  • The Beretta 84 is blowback operated, and it looks like the MS380 is, as well. Seem like nice little guns.

  • @80sDweeb

    Thanks for the information! I stand corrected about the Beretta.

    When I lock back the slide, the barrel of the MS380 rattles, and that's an indicator of a locked-breech gun. That's all I have to go by, since the manual doesn't say and neither does their website.

  • Mags were $17.95 from the manufacturer, IIRC.

    I've only heard others talk about ATI customer support, but they pretty much all agree that it's top-notch.

    Most people choose a single-stack for CCW, since thickness is so important to comfort and concealability. I like carrying this one around my property, since it's an adequate caliber for four-legged predators. But I wouldn't feel undergunned with it on the street.

    For SD, choose the right ammo. I like Win PDX1 bonded and Cor-Bon DPX.

  • I like the review on this firearm.I have been convienced that this might be a well made cc gun and it might be a little bigger that the bersa but it does has more capacity than most bersa's too.And it seems to be pretty accurate for a 380 caliber.So how hard is it to get extra magazines for this firearm and how is the warranty on it.Just a thought on this too.After all it just might save my life one day.

  • Only $315 do you think it is a lot better then Bersa thunder in the same price range?

  • @PrinceMustDie666

    I own the Bersa Thunder .380 CC, and it's a fine value. Comparable to the MS380 in a way, since the CC is a copy of the Walther PPK at half the price. I think the Bersa Thunder Plus is the model most comparable to this MS380 - the double-stacker. There are few Thunder Plusses out there!

    The Plus has higher capacity but a shorter barrel; it's a blowback (I think) not a locked breech; and it has a decocker, not a hammer safety. So you have to decide what your preference is.
