Ever notice how exemplary democratic societies- Ancient Greece and Early America for example- were highly logical places where *evidence* and *correct* arguments were valued most of all. Present day patriarchy does not exist a societal level. Patriarchy only exists on the personal relationship level. There are men bent on having power and control over women and household. That is the only patriarchy I see - other than that society has turned more in favor of women. Which doesn't help with equality. Women's groups advocated for equality in the past but now it seems they only want favors for women and less rights for men.
