Kobe actually has 23 game winners in his career if doesn't count the clutch shot make to overtime. But he has 53 times fail to make the game winners.
Kobe is great in 2010, but due to those stat, his success rate of game winner is not amazing. He just very desirable to make those game winners.

The only 2 great teams Kobe ever scored 50 pts are Suns and Dallas. Both of them are not defensive team.
When we disscuss anything about Kobe, we can only compare him to MJ, not any other player in todays league.
MJ is the one can make to 50 pts against the best defensive team in 80s, 90s, and it sometimes happen in playoffs. He also scored 55 pts in finals against another 60+ win team.
And MJ wouldnt score a lot points against weak teams over an over again, NEVER!

If you are confident you don't need to call me son. Kobe can score 81 pts in regular season against one of the weakest team in the league. Also he can score 62 pts against top offense team like Dallas. Yes he is great, I also keep his 81 pt and 62 pt games in my DVD collection.
But he is unable to score more than 50 pts in playoffs. He has played more than 175 playoffs games, but he only has one game just reach 50 pts.
Also he can't score 50 pt or 45p t against top defense team in this era

I never downgraded Kobe, I admit what he able to do, but I also tell what he CAN'T do.
Yes MJ couldn't make 81 pts in a game and he never tried this way against weakest team in his era. MJ CAN do something like 69 pts, 18rebs, 6asts the most alll around game, thats what Kobe CAN'T.
Kobe can make 11 straight 50pt games, yes, MJ made 10, but MJ has much more 50pt, 40pt, 30pt games in playoffs.
Kobe has better 3pt%, but mJ has better eFG%, TS%, FG%.
They are different but MJ was more efficient

I have said Kobe is great and no one will forget the second highest score in single game of course. But MJ is a more efficient player. Not only MJ's career Efficiency Rating is above Kobe's but also MJ has better playoffs games. Kobe yes score 10-15 times 40+ pts in playoffs but MJ has 38. Kobe has 70+ 30 pt games in playoffs, but MJ has 109 with less game play. Also no other guard can make 30 ppg in 7 straight seasons.

I don't know how good Wallace is, I don't watch Bobcat's games, and this player is not so famous of his defense. I only know Kobe only score 50pt once in playoffs, and he score far less against the best defensive teams in 2000 era, the Celtics and prime Pistons.

people say kobe isnt the best because of his shooting percentages but first he gets fouled during a lot of his shots with a bunch of no calls from reps dropping his percentage then remember his hand is basically 3 fingers now he dislocated his index finger his pinky is still injured from 2008 and his bones arent properly aligned anymore so he cant even get a shot up at normal strength and he still performs at better than 99 percent of the league

@TheCubAn0420, the Bucks don't suck. They are an above average team like the Blazers, OKC, and the Rockets. They were the 6th seed this year and almost beat the Hawks in the 1st round (they took it to game 7) without their best player C Andrew Bogut.
And I don't even care about the Bucks but everyone thought they'd be another sucky Eastern Conference team like last year.
And the Magic...they were in favor to win that series because they were the better team. but the Celts out-hustled them.

Doesn't put up big numbers? He put up 32 ppg, 7 apg, 6 reb in the Finals man. Kobe is CAPABLE of putting up any stats at anytime, but he doesn't have to average 35 ppg anymore. No1 can win a championship alone.

Yeah he can still put up big numbers, but those numbers don't come anywhere near as easy as they used to. Again, you can say 09 Kobe is smarter then he was 2-3 years ago, but to me, even that's splitting hairs. I've watched every Laker game this year, from the first to the championship winning last, and while Kobe may still be the best player, he has also shown small, subtle, but noticeable signs of perhaps losing at least a step. He's entering his FOURTENTH season.

2006/2007 Kobe was actually TWICE as good as he is now. You could say that 09 Kobe was a smarter, more crafty player, but I don't even think that's the case. I think he was just as brilliant and mentally able to adapt his game even then. The problem was 06/07 Kobe was only going to go so far with Kwame Brown, Smush Parker and Brian Cook to pass the ball to. If you put 06/07 Kobe on this year's team, they would be downright Dangerous. They would have won the title MUCH easier then they did.

Infact bill russel in his track and field days was ranked the 7 best in the world! thats especially impressive when you consider the fact he probably didnt dedicate as much time to that as he could if he was playing basketball.

Athleticism... Michael Jordan's athleticism can't be denied.. Just take a look at nhis 'Air' time, it's like gravity didn't exist. Now I know what will I see when I play basketball in space.
