  • nice evo conversion , looks great mitsubishi one of the coolest/ best cars to own what turbo you running

  • i have the exact same thing lol it look identical except for my rims are NT03+M but also awd 4g63 full evo 5 conversion just like em..love this cars

  • How & how much would it take to convert a '95 mirage into a EVO 3?

  • @WanganRunnerS30 More than it would cost to buy an R33 Skyline GTR Straight up. Your talking about fabbing the whole rear end of the car to fit the AWD system into an otherwise FWD car, AND you still need BOTH cars, all the parts, and labor? Dude by the end your looking at 20k EASY...

  • what the fuck is this guy talking about...blah blah at mitsubishi did all the welding...blah blah blah when i got the car from japan..wtf...more like this guy need to lick his balls

  • hey do u hav the foglights in the bumber?

  • where did you bought the parts from? I wanted to convert my Mitsubishi lancer 1997 model into an evo4 T_T

  • you are my menthor i just wait for shiping from japan evo5 and ig t mirage in garage AND JUST VIN NO

  • awsome, how was the body? was that hard??i was thinking of doing the complete evo5 body since ive always loved it! xD thx to gran turismo back in the day hehe.

for the engine was just going to head for the dohc mivec motor.. just love NA response.

  • it was cut because they had to convert it into a 4wd platorm, mirages are front wheel drive. the frame wheels had to be fabricated as well because the stance for the evo V's are wider than that of a mirage.

  • DUDE SO DID U EVER WIN YOUR COURT TICKETS? I BET YOU LOST ALL OF THEM>>>>>>>> :D

  • I'm thinking about turning my 97 mirage into an evo VIII

  • @Madblaster89 can you do that to a 97? I thought it was the wrong generation for the VIII conversion. Im sure it can be done, but a lot more work. If you do Please make some vids!!! When my Evo II conversion is done ill post for u guyz.

  • @Madblaster89 mirages can be converted to evo IV(4) to evo VI(6). you have to get a 2003 lancer for the project you're trying to accomplish or just get an evo VIII(8)

  • SO DID U WIN UR COURT TICKETS?

  • im sorry to seem thick but why not just save 10,000 and buy an evo? i cant understand this effort.

  • Totally agree, the only reason to do all of that would be if it was a 2 door mirage, then he would have had the worlds only 2 door evo V. What a waste of time, money and potential.

  • nice ^^

  • Wait so is this a pre-95 mirage? I'm guessing yes, since a post-95 wouldn't go through all the obdII stuff.

BTW, to all the people that say that it would be better to import a real evo V, stfu. You have no idea how hard it is to import a car from some other country into the U.S. Not impossible, just very difficult and expensive.

And yeah, he should have done it himself.

  • Nope, this is a 97-01 (5th gen) Mirage which uses the same chassis as the Evo 4-6. 91-96 (4th gen) Mirages are commonly used for Evo 1-3 conversions though and use DSM 4G63's. :)

  • i want too see this done too a 2door mirage

would so get my hopes up with mine :)

  • check out car domain they have a two door !

  • All you haters out there do realize that the mirage and Evo unibodies are the same right? The Evo 4/5/6 was built off of the Lancer/Mirage chassis. Why convert a mirage you say? You'll have built yourself a big horsepower AWD Evo that has the insurance payments of an econobox. B) Agree though, it would have been cooler if he had done the work himself. (I'm currently building an Evo 4 out of my Mirage)

  • Yea.. i have a mirage Es. ive been told i can make it look alike but engine and tranny stuff like that would be a pain in the ass! but yea i can see the similarities body style

  • Would have been easier to just take a JDM Evo V and swap over to LHD.

  • why so stupid to swap amd fork out money on swap since u can get a . 6.5 RS ni usa for 23 k .. not included registeration another few grands i guess .. i alsmot had a trade with a guy in LA with 6.5 RS 2001 selling price 23k but dmv yearly fee is 3000 which i cant afford but its sure as hell u will get lot of attention more than driving a diablo in da street

  • @Rayevo888

23k damn dude that is steep considering they only go for about 6-8k here in Japan.

  • I respect the workmanship, but this guy is a joke. He just had a shop do it all, and he just forked out money. I have seen longer interviews with him, and he knows so little about what had to be done to the car and the technical aspects of it.

I know about 6 guys who are doing the same thing, only they are doing it all THEMSELVES. My friend has a 1995 Mirage that he tore down to the frame and made AWD RHD with an Evo III front and rear cut. I'm in the process of doing the same thing.

  • Piece of crap!!!!

  • mad props!fuk all the haters!

  • waooooo from puerto rico i know it the mirage its a evo but of course the evo have more powerfulll engine but its the same space., inside dash steering wheel and the hood inside dimension

i know it i can put a evo engine in my mitsubishi mirage coupe.

    att

    anthony Lopez

    from puerto rico

  • Douche should have just bought a real evo.

  • Yeah, it would be waaaaaay better with regards to weight and insurance, douche.

  • Cut the floorpan, modify the chassis rails, ummmm retard you could have just imported the real deal and saved yourself a shitload of money. It may look, sound, handle and go like an evo but at the end of the day, its still a shitty lancer with a body kit and evo motor and driveline.

  • Yeah, importing and registering Japanese cars is so easy and cheap to do! That's why so many people have DD skylines. I can't walk outside my door without tripping over one. Way cheaper then modding a USDM Mirage. And cutting and welding is soooo expensive, that is, when you bring it to a shop like you do to get your oil changed junior.

  • thats alot of stuff u got to do to make a mirage into a EVO? thats to much money.

  • if you're passionate enough about it, there is no amount of money that is "too much" and this guy was passionate enough to do it. people like you who want it done right away don't see the real reason anyone modifys their cars.....and it's a waste of my time to try and make you see

  • what engine u use??

  • i did exactly the same thing though i did a evo VI TME. Got all the parts from japan and bought a lancer for the frame. do you still have the quick steer?

  • why convert it there is plenty for sale in la cost less than u resemble it under 25k 6.5 T.M.E bro i m gonna gret it

  • this guy is frm hawaii

  • damm really nice ..

  • Lol.... This car is in Hawaii.... I see it sometimes.... This car is sick....

  • i want to do a conversion with a mirage and eclipse gsx awd turbo first i need to sell my evo 8 i know its stupid since i got an evo but 4 si my fav

  • If you're planning on stuffing that DSM 4g63 into your Mirage, it better be a 4G. Or else, the orientation of the engine is wrong and you're gonna need to do a lot more fabrication to make it fit and work.

  • good video and AWESOME CAR! MITSUBISHI ALL THE WAYY!

  • im sorry i have a dumb question so the car is still FWD or AWD ? i don't need to know how much probably same price u try to buy an evo 5 from LA u know this was my dream project too i wanted to put the eclipse gsx into a mirage and use evo 4 body budget was way out of line for me so i gave uppp anyway goood workk

  • nevermind , u said floor pan so i guess u've installed the rear LSD and ayc too

  • dammn nice

  • Haha, this is from Grip Video. I have the Dvds.

  • nice.. nice....

  • nice bro!

  • massive respect to this guy, nice job!

  • Why massive respect? He didn't do anything, he just forked out the money for a shop to do it.

I'd give him respect if he was the one who took the time figuring out the wiring, or figuring out what you need to modify in the rear to make the Evo V subframe fit...but, he didn't do jack.

  • Lucky! Evo IV and V are my fav.

  • anybody know how much it is to convert the headlights of a mirage to an evo V?

  • it dont cost a thing cus they the exact same ones.

  • klean.

  • Enjoy your JDM machine! I Love the EVO. V

    Am sorry about Detriot loosers.

  • it's EVOSSEMBLE or ASSEMBLUTION

  • nice vid, love that slow ass mirage :)

  • thats the cleanest evo v conversion i've ever seen. wtf is he talkin about when he says Cut and weld behind from the backseats down. for the differential?

  • i really dont know honestly i ripped it froma a import dvd that i own all the info shown is what i know bout it

  • that guy's a fucken idiot. not the first time its been done, and please know what you're talking about before hand. you swapped the engine in yourself, yet it came with a "high-flow turbo" wtf is that?

and yes, this is easy to copy u moron.

  • wow, many props, i have a 2dr and want that j-spec motor he has.

  • WELL all u people act suprised its been done so many times before not just the evo 5/mirage ive seen evo3/mirage conversions mirageforums net

  • yeah but from what i understand this was one of the first guys to do it

  • i see fine kudos

  • mirage to evo V is basically body kit, rear suspension + AWD, and a 4G63 engine w/ turbo

  • it's harder and more costly than it sounds. Especially putting in the rear and AWD

  • nice, but i bet he could've just bought a evo V for the money he spent on the conversion

  • yeah but y do that when u could have the first lhd evo V ever

  • damn nice

  • immaculate too bad there was no before pictures

  • i LOVE THE V!
