Windows Phone sucks, there are 5 applications for that OS, the OS is pretty bad in user interface level, this Zune is so so bad. I can't believe I'm not supposing to create a playlist such a focking simple thing in my $500 smart phone!?!??! And I can't believe that I can't store my recorded lectures on my music folder so I can access is by the most irritating app in the world -Zune. In one word -JUST DON"T BUY THAT, buy android, or iphone. This is worse even than symbian... much, much worse!!

They should just put icons for recognizable Microsoft stuff on the home screen, like Word, Excel, Outlook (for mail), Zune (for music), CyberShot (for camera) and maybe even X-box Mobile. Add a Facebook icon and you have a lot of selling points in one screen...

from what we've seen of WinMo 7... Don't hold your breath for something revolutionary. Certain people I've spoken to high up in cell carriers have told me that WinMo 7 is not promising.

It may turn out different when it's released, I hope it does, but yeah.. like I said don't hold your breath!

I will say, however, that the ability to use Adobe Flash Lite is a very enticing feature. I am interested to see what they do with that. The ability to also have this OS on multiple phones is a strength. However, I still think that this first rendition won't be as good as the iPhone - give them time, though, and this Windows Phone OS will be a great one in it's own way.

I'm a huge Windows/PC guy all day, but I also have an iPhone and can honestly say that the iPhone is still the best mobile OS. Windows Phone OS is Windows Mobile optimized for a touch screen device, with a more modern cosmetic overhaul as well. It still doesn't have what it takes to match or beat Sprigboard (iPhone OS) though.

I normally would agree with this logic, but this is like the iPod/Zune situation. The iPhone has much larger familiarity factor and it's been around longer, allowing it to solve problems before. The Windows Phone/Android OS's have great features, but it'll take a while to gain momentum. As for the boring iPhone OS, because these are such a threat, I think Apple will wake up after this and finally allow themes and customization. It's possible - that's why I jailbroke mine and do it.

I wouldn't really agree with that. iPhone's media player is the best on the market, and the App Store has an undeniable grip on the app market - App Store will get most Apps first because it can sell them best. Not to mention the best music store also. It's patented touch screen technology is also the most responsive on the market. Consumer Report said the iPhone is the best device on the market this year. These phones are great, but they have a little ways to go when it comes to some features.

iPhone's touchscreen technology has been acknowledged by many reputable sources as the best for years now. It never has to be calibrated, unlike many other touch screen phones. And CR's verdict may be just an opinion, but it's one of the most credible opinions worldwide, and many other publications concur. The Droid is completely different than the iPhone, firstly considering the Android OS. And Verizon does have the best network, but not as much as they advertise. It's about the devices.
