  • can you please tell me which Fish are in your Aquarium? pleaseeeeeee

  • @M4DDYYYY In this video I have two oscar fish, a freshwater barracuda, some tiger barbs, and a pleco.

  • damn ur baracuda fish is a beast i have a asian needle fish i thought urs was one haha

  • Hi, would you consider this filter quiet enough to keep in a bedroom? I want to transfer my dwarf puffers, bumblebee gobies, oto and platies to a 30-40 gallon as they are all starting to get bigger and was looking at getting this filter. The issue is that it's currently set up in my bedroom with a Tetra Whisper PF10.

The water is always perfect right now in the 10 gallon, but a couple more months and it might be too small for them. Thank you in advance!

  • what capacity/brand tank do you have? it's quite exquisite

  • @theprankster5000 It really depends on the water level, as long as you keep the water even with the down spout of the filter than you will have minimal noise from water trickle, however even if there is some noise, i find that it is rather calming.

  • @dillonc361 That answers my question (if it is quiet enough to be held in a bedroom) as well. Thank you dillonc361.

  • @theprankster5000 it sounds like it(the piece of plastic is the lid!)

  • The family is planning on setting up a 75/100 gallon discus tank, would you recommend one of these filters or perhaps 2 for a fish that needs pristine waters? I'm also using my old penguin 360 canister filter.

I mean, would it be noticeably better with two of the penguin 350s and a powerful canister filter as opposed to just one and the canister filter?

  • Hey hey....no name calling here. No offense. I was just reading the reviews on Amazon. I was going to buy one like you have...then I read the reviews.

  • I would not get one of these....get a Marineland Pro series Bio-Wheel Power filter.

The Emperor 280 is good for up to 50 gallons....they make filters for bigger ones. I've had a Marineland Pro Series for 12 years now...and the the thing is still going strong. I just bought another one...for another tank.

  • @GradyWhite2007 I dont know why you would say not to get this, it is a great filter and you obviously are retarded. I would never cut my filtration that close to use a emperor 280. there is no such that as too much filtration.

  • Hello i plan on getting 60 gallon tank with two hoods will i be able to still use this Marineland Penguin 350??

  • @Megamoonlight12345 Honestly i would probably go for more filtration...i guess it all depends on what you plan on keeping

  • @Megamoonlight12345 Hi, so the specs say that the Penguin 350B is rated at 70 gallons per hour, which means that it would cycle your 60 gallon every ~51 minutes. This means that it will be perfect if you have neon tetras but really inadequate if you keep any sort of puffer fish like I do.

In cases like this I use aqadvisor com to get a very conservative idea of what kind of filtration and space I need. Put in all the details and see how you stack up. Hope I was of some help :)

  • Is a tank bigger than 30 gallons considerably more expensive (including hood/canopy and heater)? Say something like a 55 gallon long? Looks like most people use this filter in 40-60 tanks.

I don't have experience other than technical right now. I have only ever had a slightly overstocked 10G tank for about 2-3 months, all is well so far though, but there is lots to learn.

  • @Megamoonlight12345 My apologies, I found that the Penguin 350 does indeed push 350 GPH, so all the water in your 60 gallon tank would be cycled in just 10.3 minutes. wow, this is a monster filter.

In one hour it would run through the water in your tank at maximum flow 5.8 times!! That is enough filtration to keep almost anything in there, even puffer fish. lol. Thank you, sorry about the earlier mistake.

  • do u have to change the biowheels ever or do u just wash them because i was looking to get one of these but idk if i wanna go with this or an aquaclear 110

  • @zachbeck2022 You should only replace bio-wheels if they become broken or damaged. Replacing them would kill you bio-filter bacteria, [which live on the wheel], leading to an ammonia spike. Please watch my video "Review over the Penguin 350" for a detailed review of the Penguin series filters.

  • @kfor714 so basically the only thing u change is the filter cartridges on this tank u don't need to change anything else i'm gonna go to petco tomorrow and exchange my aqueon filter for a marineland penguin 350 as the aqueon sucks ass!

  • @zachbeck2022 You actually don't even have to change the cartridge, if you modify them correctly. Watch "Bio-wheel filter modification", for a really great mod that only needs to be cleaned, never replaced! It costs $10 for something that will last you a lifetime. I'm glad I could help!

  • @kfor714 ya i'm gonna try and bring my aqueon filter in and trade it in for a 350 cause they have it for sale for 38.00 so i'd pay the difference fo one of them

  • @zachbeck2022 Great, I hope you enjoy your new filter!

  • Have you had any issues with vibration inside the unit, specifically the impeller? I had one, which would never seem to go away. It may have been an isolated incident. I was just wanting to get a feel of it from other owners.

  • @BrownLabRanch No i haven't, the only time i have vibration is if i am going from "off" to "on"

  • I have the same filter. I really like it. I also have the 150 and the100. You should check out some of my videos too.
