  • 2 SECOND EXPLANATION

    1.54 minutes of video. . .

    i'm italian and i don't undst what you've done

Ho cercato di insegnare a me stesso qualche anno fa.

  • @lairdylairdy oh thanks to answer back in italian=)

anyway the point is : you said "generi di prima necessità" that in italian sound like food ,xD

i don't understand what you mean for "foam"

*ho cercato di impararlo da me qualche anno fa

  • @666alberto this is what i used

    walmart.com/ip/Foam-Sheets-Basic-Colors-12-Pack/17404376

just basic foam sheets. not sure what foam is in italian, sorry =P

  • good idea :D

  • Did you crop in the video so that the outside ring of the fisheye wasn't so visible?

  • @Cesarrider4497 i do now, but when i made this video it was within an hour of making the lens. so i hadn't had a lot of time to experiment or upload videos or pictures.

  • there is a application named camera fx which i use to create a fisheye effect on my nokia 5230 :D you are just wasting your money and time. :D ahahahah

  • @Alankartambe1 i guess could always waste my money on a new camera that has that effect. it's an alternative, not a miracle

  • @Alankartambe1 To be fair those digital effects actually distort that image making it lose quality. Adding an optical lens allows the quality to stay high while still achieving the look.

  • what is that orange material?

  • @1685mark craft foam sheet rolled up and cut to size

  • vampire weekend: love ya

  • thank´s

  • look in the description. if the link doesn't work let me know. it's still a good link, just youtube has problems

  • thats sick why wouldnt u show as how to make it

  • paint the inside black so there is not glair

  • awesum !

  • Was hoping you would show how you made it. Looks great! can't wait to make one. Congrats man, awesome lens!

  • @420ALI3N i'll be making a video once i can find the time

  • @420ALI3N but the link in the description is where i learned from. if it doesn't work try manually typing it into the address bar, cause i know the video still exists

  • @lairdylairdy Thank you! I could have sworn i clicked on the show more tab. Anyway, Much appreciated.

  • shop a real fisheye..... fuckers !

  • @ben70701 the point is for people who can't afford it dick drip

  • @lairdylairdy yes! correct it is only African children who do not have money for a real fisheye

  • @ben70701 lmao, i have nothing to say to such a comment

  • @ben70701 Dude your so ignorant and stupid. maybe people have better things to do rather than buy an expensive ass camera lens. Just because we don't want to spend our hard earned money on 1 thing that probably wont last us a whole fucking year. And your going to say "BUY IT CHEAP! EBAY!" but I wont spend my money on something that comes from a non-retailer that has the equipment. PEOPLE LIE! So how about you stick your expensive ass lens up your ass..

  • @AdroitNecromaner I do not think century mk1 is used only one year ....

  • @ben70701 my point exactly an EXPENSIVE ASS LENS THAT COST MORE THAN A GOOD CAMERA!

  • @ben70701 maybe the camera has no threads on its lense or maybe people cant afford it

  • crap.

  • Cool.

  • Great lens and video! Subscribed!

  • @remzi133 ????? wttffff great lens ? dumb aassss lens !

  • @ben70701 Me or the lens?

  • @remzi133 troolololololololool

  • More like tunnel vision

  • Great idea #1 Fisheye glasses

  • u must matt black interior of the lens to delete reflections on metal

  • Yep these things can be fun. Not the flashiest fisheye around but still lots of fun. If any of you are serious though definately upgrade to a good fisheye. I have a Sigma 4.5mm for my camera and I gotta tell you it is heaps fun to use that one :)

  • You're mom has nice tits.

  • @Relvolver64 not my mom bro, but creep all you want. maybe you should try google sometime and you can find some stuff

  • @lairdylairdy Lol

  • ZOOM IN DAMN BRO lol sick fisheye btw

  • @ThatGuyWhoDosentcamp thanks man! yeah, haha, first time using it. i zoom in a lot more now, haha

  • Hey man, thanks so much for the video! I was looking everywhere to actually just buy a lens. Not only is the quality great, but it's exactly the camera I have hahah. Very well done.

  • lol thats pretty crafty xD and saves you a ton of money if you actually wanna buy one of those really expensice fish eye lenses i might re consider make one myelf depends on how much a peep hole cost ill go out and buy one later in the week =)

  • that was fucking awesome...

  • Tutorial?

  • this is a good song haha, and cool fisheye! i'm on my way to make one too haha

  • good fish eye!!! how you make it?

  • @j0mppuw thanks!

the how to link is in the description

  • @lairdylairdy It aint working anymore man

  • @Urtaget well shoot, i guess i'll be makin a how to video then =)

  • @lairdylairdy Yo no problem man, nice vid!

  • @XTheBreakOutX shyep!

  • Nice!

  • Yooh need to zoom in more.

  • @bestskater12346 i zoom in for my personal stuff i take with it. i left the walls on it so people would get an idea of how it looks from when you put it on, which is why i did zoom in later in the video and then zoomed out again

however this video was also just meant to be a response to the how to video i watched, not a reflection on my personal tastes of how it should look

  • @MrStayingGold it's just some foam sheet i got from walmart for a couple bucks

  • lmfao i have same camera=]

  • VAMPIRE WEEKEND

  • That's amazing. Plz make a how to vid

  • @FlowRider4life read the description. this video's a response to the how to video

  • ich mag das lied:) wie heißt es?

    video is gut;)

  • @baumdelakuh der lied ist Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa"

    Ich weiß nicht, deutsche leider

  • @lairdylairdy Thanks

  • How much zoom does your camera have??

  • @arrrowking 8 mp, 3X optical zoom, but 12X altogether. not sure if that makes sense. i'm not a camera guru sorry, haha =P google "canon powershot sd1100 is" and you can find the features i'm sure

  • dude when i put my lens everything turns upside down!!!! help!! and everything looks huge!

  • @guitarded0081 i'm not an expert on this stuff, i just made my own by following another video and then posted this, but it sounds as though it is just whatever type of lens it is. i'm not sure though

you could always flip the camera upside down...lol X)

  • @guitarded0081 the peephole is too far/too near from the lens. thats why its inverted.

  • Great!!! Thanks. Greetings from Spain.

  • Comment removed

  • @jaspas23 i believe it's 200 but i can't remember for sure =P

  • who many Degree's wide is this peep hole thx

  • NICE LENS!I LIKE IT!

  • @Geovv134 thanks! =)

  • naiceee

  • @hightstownhyphy thanks =)

  • whats the song?

  • @Smoothcriminel description

  • not bad

  • im planning to make the same type nice vid really works man!

  • if u want a fish eye buy a really video camera

  • @planbsk8r33 i think you're missing the point...i get average middle class camera for gift, i want fisheye, i make one for $10....it was fun, works decently enough, and obviously after reading all of the comments almost all others seem to think it was worth me uploading and making.

now if you think i should buy a real camera for a fisheye lens, why are you watching videos on how to make a fisheye?

  • @lairdylairdy didnt watch how to make video... and i have a real camera and fisheye thanks

  • @planbsk8r33 congratulations

  • @lairdylairdy thanks

  • this is is cool very good

  • It looks fine! take no notice! :D how did you make it :)

  • @VloggerUnknown i put a link in the description showing the video i learned from =)

after watching it you just have to adjust for your personal tastes/desires and fit it for your camera

    good luck! =)

  • @lairdylairdy Ahh ok man thank you :)

  • it looks terrible

  • @ItsSkateboardingTime it's also $10

  • i love this song!!

  • @WhiteboyTrey2 heck yes!!!

  • When I get hold of one of these door viewers, I would like to cut away some of the tube so i have less 'tunnel effect' and won't have to zoom in as much. Though someone mentioned that you have to have the viewing glass intact for the whole thing to work properly. Though surely if I cut the tube in half, this would get rid of the viewing glass?

  • @anzaeria i believe your friend is right in that you have to keep the viewing glass on there. if not the image may be hard to focus and possibly impossible (haha, funny phrasing =P)

however, if you want to try and you aren't worried about money then it wouldn't be super expensive to just buy two door viewers and try cutting one to see how it works. just be warned that you'd need a hack saw depending on the material your viewer is made from and the possibility of metal shaving scratching the

  • @lairdylairdy OOps! I was meant to say that the viewing glass on your door viewer is significantly smaller than the camera lens. You must have quite an impressive zoom range to compensate for that. With regards to cutting my future door viewer, I'll get a step down ring in addition to a spacer and push those really tight along the foam on the edge of the tube. That should create a bit of space between the cut-off section and the camera lens. And the step down ring will be screwed on to the lens.

  • @anzaeria yeah, that should work no problem! post a video when you finish to show people your work =)

  • @anzaeria internal lens is prevalent. as is the possibility of the rough edges after cutting it could scratch your camera and even the camera's lens if you aren't very careful

  • @lairdylairdy ...um...Smooth the edges of it after you cut it then...

  • @JTooTehAke unless he or she has the right tools, smoothing the edges of a brass/steel part that's been cut would take a LOT of work and it would still be easy to scratch the cheap plastic found around most camera lenses

  • @anzaeria i bet your could take the lens out of the long part if that would help

  • I see that the viewing glass (where one would normally put their eye) is considerably larger than the camera lens. Good that this does not matter (others have recommended to use door viewers with extra large openings - as big as the cam lens.)

  • AHHH u have AMAZING taste in music. i LOVE vampire weekend

  • Nice taste in music! Vampire Weekend

  • what is that orange thing?

  • @urbansparks it's what holds the lens onto the camera. it's just some foam that i shaped into a fit for my camera specifically.

  • @urbansparks look in the description for the video and i posted a link to the video that i learned to make this from

  • 0:40 perfect it would so real

  • huh?

  • @lairdylairdy if you pause it at 40 seconds when the outlines of circle is showing its perfect and wat kind of camera do u have...i have a jvc everio hard disc and im getting a opteka .43 lens its only like 30 dollas at amazon

  • @TheTruth226 oh, yeah, it was the first day so i was kinda just getting used to it and seeing how i liked it

and my camera's nothin special. just a canon powershot SD 1100 IS as it says in the description. nice, but not all that special

  • Before:Pioneer Box

    After:A Room

    WTF

  • huh?

  • Good realised ! nice job man !

  • hahaha nice and nice song (Y)

  • at 0:41 is whereabouts you should have it zoomed in, that vig is horrible lol

  • mines fussy why is it like that????

  • @TheSk8rgamer either your focus or the lens is dirty

i'm not really a camera guy so that's the best i can give you =P

  • @TheSk8rgamer if its fuzzy try changing your mode to macro mode if its still fuzzy you prob need to invest in a better camera with a good marco option

  • Nice fish eye, maybe zoom in a bit though so you dont see the tube on the footy

  • nice video man, u get me more ideas for this fish eye. I just made one but this looks better.

  • Wait Where Did You Get The Foam From?

  • walmart

  • :D Great

  • man i mad eit and its like perfect for snowboardin vids. next week im makin a vid with the lens check out the vid and soo how sickk ur invention was :P

  • amazing job dude

  • thanks! =)

if you wanna find out how to make it, the best video is the one i posted the link to in the description

  • WOW i can use that for snowboardin thats so sick :O

  • you're so cute, :D

  • lol, thanks? random but oh well, haha

  • One thing you would like to do is cut the peephole shorter so you don't habe the 'tunnel' effect.

  • could, but this was just an easy quick project

i didn't really feel like takin a saw and cuttin it down, haha

  • Haha yeah. But if you are still using it, I really recommand you do it. I wasn't using mine util I hacksawed it. Works so much better.

  • heck, it's worth a shot. not like i invested a lot of money into it, lol

i'll try that and see how it goes. thanks! =)

  • song?

  • cape cod kwassa kwassa from vampire weekend, as it says in the description

  • This is freaking genius! also great pick for the song

  • is there anyway i can make one and attach it to a handycam? the way handy cams are designed, you cant really put a tube over it and have it stay in place. just wondering.

  • eh, i'm sure you could, but i would think in that case it would be more of a trial and error kind of designing. It's worth a shot though. and if you find a way, i'm sure lots of people with handycams would appreciate a video explaining how

  • hey, just a quick question before i try this on my mini video camera, if you take the peep hole apart and use just the lense without the tube would you not havve to zoom in so much? if your not sure then im just gonna try it and tell you!

  • it should work as long as you're careful while taking the lens off. i actually considered trying that

  • let me know though, please

  • doesn't work, thers like 4-5lenses in the tube

  • that bull shit it did not zoom out that much

  • if you knew anything about what i fisheye lens is or what it does then you would know it's not bullshit. the greater the angle of the lens the more it looks like it zoomed out

try it. tons of videos on youtube will show you the same effect

  • hi.. did you just put it on? what resolution of video does your camera takes?... couse it's a really clean vid, with my camera it goes like blury it just doesn't focus right :S did you do something about it?

  • my camera i believe is 8.3 megapixels

it's a good camera for the price. i got it for about $200 at walmart last year.

for the video i didn't do anything other than set the colors to vivid. it could be anything from a dirty lens on the camera and/or doorviewer or just a bit cheaper camera.

  • wat size did you use??

  • i used a 200 degree doorviewer, but i'm considering making a lens that's 160 too. just for more centrally focused pictures

  • Hi,

I tried to make my own fisheye lens.

are u using the zoom at its maximum?

cause me, I see many black around the view (when my zoom is at minimum)

  • well for my camera (i'm sure it's different for all cameras) i put it at 3x zoom which is where you can see the inside wall of the doorviewer

then later in the video i zoom in to about 4.5x zoom so that the inside wall doesn't show at all. when i take pictures with it now i zoom in so that the inside wall doesn't show at all

    did that answer your question?

  • Thanks for your reply.

    Yes your answer help me.

anyway, is it really clear when u take picture ? (i mean w/ the inside wall not shows at all)

    i'm using a sony dsc-w170

  • well the quality suffers a little bit when i zoom in enough to get rid of the walls, but not enough for it to not be worth the time and effort
