Small ball backfired spectacularly then! As good as Negreanu is, I think he should've folded the turn. Benyamines call of a 5x plus raise should've at least put him on a big pocket, or a low set, either way he's beat. He can also put David on a flush draw with suited connectors or AQ, and then has the full house to worry about on the turn, as well as Benyamines set of 4's making quads.

That turn opened all possible draws: two flush draws, both inside and open ended straight draw, several full house draws, quads and last but not least two straight flush draws. I've now seen videos of negreanu lose against quads 3 times in these high stakes games.Lindgren and Hansen were the other 2 winners.Thought he played this horribly as was his call against Lindgren only against Hansen was he coolered as he did flop a set and turn the house(which completed gus' quads) and Gus did play it magnificently.Check them out if you have the time.

oh boy, the board didn't really give Daniel much reason, to think that his Jacks were way behind and in fact drawing dead on the turn. However given the fact that guys like Benyamine and most others like to play small suited connectors in cash games, it's not impossible on the flop that someone has 4 2 suited or something like that and Daniel is already behind. Negreanu obviously was convinced till the very end, that he was ahead, but i still think that shouving on the turn isn't necessary.

daniel not a good player. You play that many tournaments your gonig to win some and be a tournament leader. He plays a ton of them. But daniel is a bad player and makes bad decisions. he gets away with it in tournaments casue he can just go all in with his jj pre flop and not have to worry about after the flop action. But really he has just one pair its a fold on the flop.

@lg123xyz Look... Daniel Negreanu is no.1 on the list of all-time tournament winnings. He's a great player, but he just sucks in No-Limit cash games. He never won on High Stakes Poker -- he's down 1.7 million over the first six seasons. For some reason he has the style where he raises or pushes all in with calling hands at the very best. It can become very costly, but apparently he still has money so what do we care?
