  • thanks to this movie, Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham i <3 Mozart im downloading Requiem by Sir Neville marriner right this second :D

  • A wonderful film! :)

  • Good dancemusic youtube.com/watch?v=ZutsW1xhyA4

  • Oh yeah....Mozart...Tom Hulce...I can´t say who´s the best...i admire them both...This movie changed my life!

  • what is the music at 0:39?

  • I would name my child Wolfgang just to be able to call him Wolfie

    lol actually no.

  • why not just call him Wolfie?

  • @billheartyface errr i'm not german so i don't understand what wolfgang means. i don't like this name at all, it's like wolf in english :(

ouchhh this movie completely changes my life :) woderful

  • Oh my god i WISH Tom Hulce now was anything like as gorgeous as he was in that movie. I am obsessed with Mozart now.

Watching the special features i was like, "Nooooo where did he go??"

    haha

  • amadeus.

    es ist best film.<3

  • Tom Hulce looked sooo SEXY in this movie! I LOVE MOZART! HE WAS THE MOST AMAZING MUSICAL COMPOSER EVER! MOZART INSPIRED ME! THIS MOVIE IS INCREDIBLE!

  • YEAH I KNOW RIGHT!

of course i have a tendency to develop crushes on people who were cute before i was even born...

    :(

  • Also, Tom Hulce was completely ORGASMIC in this movie. I even humped my tellie.

Brilliant acting, beautiful wigs, amazing movie.

I was left lusting everywhere, and now I'm officially obsessed. Thanks, Amadeus. You've inspired me to name my future man-child Wolfgang.

    Thanks a lot.

  • I feel the exact way!!! Amazing!

  • @aGlowingTeapot As good as Tom Hulce's characterization of Mozart is, the film belongs to F. Murray Abraham. The film is not really about Mozart, it's a character study of envy and obsession; Salieri's.

  • @bookkeeper57 then why does the movie is named "Amadeus"?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was his name

  • @rukka16 Amadeus means "love of God", and Amadeo is what the Italians at court sometimes called him. Wolfgang is a German name.

  • @bookkeeper57 yes it is...:D im portuguese and in portuguese love god means "ama deus" "but in italiian to love god is "Amadeus" all together it is also mozarts name they named the title of the movie is "Amadeus" at that time almost every kind of music was made worshiping god especially opera music but also because his name was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.the title has a double meaning....:)

    peace

  • and the movie IS about mozart but the story is told through the the "eyes" of Salieri...

    :D

    peace

and much love to all REAL MUSIC fans

  • Dude! I just had a great idea!

Someone should mix scenes from this fantastically epic movie (that I love) to the song "Bolero" from Moulin Rouge (The one at the end credits). I can only imagine how many goose-bums I'd get watching and listening them together.

    Thanks for psoting!

  • hmmm...that idea of yours....not so great....sorry.

  • @billheartyface

    Psh. Says you.

  • this is out of tune- and it's not a collection of scenes, it's the trailer

  • the king was arrested , in real life. child porn :s

  • Movie is amazing.

  • I completely agree, this movie is amazing!

  • Thanks for this one!

Great!..love the movie, love the clip...looks like I didn't see the movie more than 20 times!...xx

  • i love the cleavage in that movie

  • Me too! :)

  • i love him :D

  • Outwardly nice

  • I LOVE Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Who doesn't? xD

  • I have seven videos on Mozart's "Greatest Hits" on my Youtube channel (three uploaded so far, four more to come)

  • Amadeus! Amadeus!

  • Not that I'd wish an injury on anyone, but, ultimately, it was good for the movie that Meg Tilly injured her foot/leg right before filming was to begin, because Elizabeth Berridge was perfect as Constanze. I just can't picture Tilly in the role.

  • ive seen this movie, the sound on this video is behind

  • how os the piece called 0:38 - 0:59 ... it appears on the masked ball scene, but is it even mozart? i so badly want to know the composer/name of that music

  • It's Ein Deutsches Kriegslied, A German Warsong. K. 539.

  • Go go Amadeus go!

  • his music is inspiring, his laugh is hilarious!! and he's a player, go mozart!!

  • He's a genius! I looove his laugh!

  • we watch this movie in music and we saw the beggining at the party where he licks that girls TITS

  • I love mozart's laugther :D

  • Tom Hulce WAS really hot, but now... xD

  • what is the original duration of the movie? i've got this movie, of 2h:27m

  • We watched that movie for our music lessons! Awesome!!! <3

  • Watch the tribute to Marie Antoinette on my channel. It's delicious.

  • Can you tell Mozart's music from Salieri's?

A Google search for "quiz mozart salieri" will bring you the quiz.

  • Fantastic movie, keep in memories for life!

  • It isn't stupid! It's genius!!!

  • Tom Hulce is so hot! I would date him now.

  • not now! have you seen what he looks like now?

  • I OWN the movie. Sure I've seenit, duh.

  • That is what I said.

  • The video's out of sync.

  • LMAO, the funniest part is where, because it's out of sink, the archbishop ends up looking like he's the one saying "I'm a vulgar man";-)--Also, why is this called "scenes from the movie"--it's just the trailer right?

  • Whats the song thats at 0:55 after he says hes a vulgar man but not his music and the opera singer sings?

  • it is from the abduction from the seralgio. Mozart's first opera in the movie.

  • I love this movie, Tom Hulce looks good in this movie. He's cute. Mozart will live forever!

  • this is my opinion. The audio is ahead of the picture. I know. because I can watch the trailer on my dvd, it is behind by about 6 to 8 seconds.

  • I love everything and anything Mozart. But this movie is very historically inaccurate. Still, its Mozart so....lol

  • Have you seen the movie?

  • yea its pretty good

  • Love this movie!

  • i love his laugh <3

  • probably the best movie ever

  • Hahahaha where did u come from?

  • wolfgang.. will live forever in our hearts.

  • what's the music played in the background at 00:23??

  • Symphany no. 25 in G minor.

  • This movie was so good. I thought that it was going to be another boring documentary about Mozart when i heard about it. but i thought that it was an awesome movie and it portrayed him very well. I highly recommend it!

  • i mean to compare some one like mozart and a football fan is worlds apart the info a mind like mozart holds will burn u up and destroy u casuse its too much a gift for most to handle

  • the answer to a few questions i read here about great minds and messed up lives is as follows someones mind all depends on how old ur soul is for example someone who talks to u in pub and all there knowledge is football is a very young soul but the more improtand knowledge u have in u means for greater upset

  • why do all the great minds always end up in something trajic

  • WOULFGANG AMADEUS MOZZART :-

He was so mad in music,He was a real musician but he can't concentrate in his life activities. His works are unimaginery.

  • WOULFGANG AMADEUS MOZZART ,H

  • thankyou.

  • Whats that song that plays towards the end..? its like Mozarts first opera for the king at the beginnig of the film. It starts at like 1:35 ...? anyone thankyou.

  • It is the choral ending of Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio).

  • although it was not a real fact, but mozart was portrayed as a real ass in the movie

  • europe uber alles!

  • This movie is made according to the stage play of Peter Shaffer "Amadeus" - story about W.A.Mozart and A.Salieri. That´s why isn´t directly historically and some facts are fictional.

  • REALLY? ;) A GENIUS IS ALWAYS A GENIUS.

  • He still kicks asses.

  • i had to skip the sex scene for the middle shcool when weber and mozarts happy time

  • What part was the scene at? I'm a huge fan of the movie and I was just curious about it.

  • This film is actually very historically inaccurate. If anything, Salieri was MORE successful than Mozart during his time and Mozart wasn't such a douchebag. Also, Salieri wasn't celibate - he had a wife and seven kids for Pete's sake.

I suppose it makes for good cinema though.

  • you're absolutely right. the altered version does make for a good story though :) and I think the far from flawless Mozart depicted in the film is probably more accurate than a lot of classical buffs who'd like to believe he could do no wrong...

  • sorry about the bad grammar, had a late night :P

  • Mozart isn't made out to be a douchebag in the movie. Rather than recreate the entire extravagant code of etiquette and courtly mannerisms of the time, they suggest it, and then exaggerate what was in fact regarded at the time as extreme behavior on the part of Mozart.

  • Mozart was from Salsburg and considered vulgar by Vienna standards.

  • Great Trailer. we know what it's about, but what about it? I always think of it like Citizen trailer, revolutionary, questioning, sparking ideas.

  • Is this movie rated R?

  • Depends on the version. The original theatrical version was PG, I believe. The Director's Cut is rated R.

  • The Director's cut is. The Theatrial one isn't. This is the theatrical one that is shwn in the trailer.

  • i love that movie

  • ha

    that movie is amazing

    love it.

  • I love the way "Mozart" laughs in this movie :DD

  • 1984 Oscar Best Picture.awesome movie.

  • Now that's a trailer! 1 of my favorite movies! TIMELESS!!!

  • i love the scene in 1:15 ! haha, nice tits ;-)

  • Mine too!!!

    :)

  • This movie is my life.

  • THAT LAUGH <3

  • Great job..i like that film so much..(=

  • i fell in love with him after seeing this

  • The madness... By GOD, the MADNESS of this indesputible world PRAISES IN GLORY!!! ALL HAIL MOZART!

  • This film changed opinions and lifes. Sod the rest. This is world class. So many legendary parts. Amazing movie with amazing music. I cannot stress my views enough, and bet im not the only one! :)

  • Do you think so? I watched it last night and found Mozart to be quite irritating (yet loveable, somehow), but I thought that's either how the narrator (crazy old guy) sees him or that's the way Mozart really was.

  • I think that's how Salieri views Mozart.

  • i think that's how he really was. crazyness and geniusness go hand in hand. besides, think he is cute because he is "irritating" :)

  • fuck !!!!

  • My love!

  • Hello I love Mozart so much ....****

  • This movie is really great : but here it's just commercial. beuuuuarkkkk.

  • MOZART DIED??!?! WTF!!!

  • HE DID? OOOHHH SHHIIII

  • i know! no1 ever tells me ANYTHING! ah!

  • Mozart is not dead, he is eternal.

  • this movie is so amazing.

  • why are you all talking such crap?

  • There are many great movies; Mean Streets, Sunset Boulevard, The Godfather. But Amadeus, Amadeus is different. Amadeus is the greatest, deepest movie ever made. This trailer sucks tho.

  • MISSA IN C-MOLL "Grosse Messe"

    KV 427 / KV 317a

  • whats the name of the song in the beginning

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE !!!!!X3

  • mozart rocks!

  • Motzart is the best man that ever walked the earth! If only he wrote more flute pices!(coming from a flute player of corse!)

  • I wouldn't credit a flute player with that kind of intelligence. (No offense to any flute players. Just going on general trends I've observed)

  • I think it's fair to say,(according to your comment) that all flute players are full of mindless hot air! Sorry, I couldn't resist the obvious...

  • Well I'm actually a flute player myself, but I'm also a sax player, and a horn player, so I get a glimpse of all the worlds. Course, I'm still in high school so I can't speak for the rest of the world. In high school, flute players are lightheaded girls whose only concern is who is dating who.

  • "who is dating who", I'm afraid that's a problem that transcends beyond lightheaded girls in highschool.

  • Yes, but is it still the sole thing they talk about? I can never see anybody else generate so much conversation off of one topic. It could go on for hours.

  • It's a question of intelligence, some people are articulated enough to know there's more to life, others can only focus on the most prehistoric, animalistic urges of mankind. It's shows immaturity if thats all you talk about, but it also shows immaturity to be bothered by these conversations. I'm sure there's somebody who shares your interests; Just talk to them. I feel like a psychiatrist.

  • Good point. I suppose when I was in the flute section it just got very boring when they were all chatting about boyfriends instead of playing during sectionals, so I either had to play alone, or listen to them.

  • Well the next time you find yourself becoming isolated in a group, just do what I do in similar situations; Start talking to yourself, really loudly. If that doesn't work lock yourself in a cold, dark room, find the most oppressive corner, sit in it, and try to convince yourself: Your the sane one it's the rest of the world that's mad! Also a little Ludwig playing in the background for ambience. You'll see the world in a different light!

  • Ah, that is fun. Yes, the world is insane. Does anybody else see that rabid squirrel in the corner? I do. No you don't. Yes I do.

Well, I'm playing horn now, so I'm with the interesting brass players. At least the voices say they're interesting.

  • ?snoisiv ro snoitanicallah egnarts gnicneirepxe uoy erA .won noitazilaer siht ot gnimoc ylno era uoy dna uoy dnuora gnilbmurc si dlrow ruoy ebyaM

  • Not strange hallucinations, just normal ones. Like that talking banana in the corner. Isn't he cute?

My world isn't crumbling, but you are. You might want to pick up your ear.

  • I've been crumbling now, my Dear, for a long time and that wasn't my ear to begin with!

  • Oh? Who's ear is it? Is it the banana's?

Well, this is getting a bit too wild for my tastes. How did we get to this from discussing flautists?

  • Ehmmm...? I don't know, I can't understand why all the conversations I have, end up having absolutely nothing to do with the videos, they all seem to deviate from the subject and end up as something far stranger!

I blame it on you and everybody else.

  • Blame society. I am certain you can explain why it's our fault.

On a side note, I think it would be hard for our conversations to get stranger than Amadeus the movie.

  • Do you think a person afraid of what's on the other side of the front door could actually be capable of analyzing the whole of society? I think you hold me with too high regard! As I write this, the men in white coats are waiting in the wings.

No! Let go! Just let me... the 7th one last time!

  • Well I know I'm not sane, but I do a lot to analyze society and its effect on people. I'm not an optimist.

  • Pessimism, I believe is a common side effect of having an average or above I.Q. Only the most idiotic and delusional can facilitate optimism! As the nursery rhyme goes, I was definitely born on a Wednesday!

  • Well, I disagree to some extent. I think that it is delusional, but one with a strong intellect can harbor some delusions simply to keep themselves in a good mood. One who thinks the world is just going downward would surely not be very happy. I look negatively on the world around me, but look with favor on the future, even deluding myself with the possibility of myself changing it for the better.

  • At least you can admit your delusional, myself, I'm afraid, I am just disillusioned. It's funny to me, how you look to the future with such fevered anticipation. The only way any human could improve the world in any substantial manner, and here I hit on a bleak note; is by kindly removing oneself from it! And I entirely disagree with your statement that such a person could never really be happy:

  • someone with a pessimistic nature is easily pleased, and may derive contentment and joy in simple things, like the falling of the leaves in autumn. An optimist (which I believe you are, despite your earlier protestation), instinctively has high expectations, and although he/she might enjoy the same experience, it's not to the same extent.

  • Also I believe the contrary to be true: an optimist feels the lows of life much more severely, almost or in equal measure(s) to the pessimist that feels pleasure. I don't consider this a despondent or warped outlook on life, I believe there is a balance rather your view is a naturally positive or a negative one; however, when either of these influences predominates your mind, that way lies madness!

  • That is true. I think a balance is probably the optimal way to look at life. Assuming that things are all cheery would not do you very much good, because the first little discomfort you feel would dispel that myth, but if one were to assume that the world were all rot, and ignore the good things they see (which is not uncommon, unfortunately), they would not be in a good mental state either.

  • Oh, I worded that incorrectly. I am an optimist, I simply was not optimistic about looking at society. Of course, in being an optimist, I do feel sad some times, but I get over it quickly. I do a lot of work trying to fix things, and the things I'm trying to fix may never really be fixed, but at the very least I can busy myself trying, and i can be happy just in that I've tried. I do have heavy aspirations though, and I take measures to fulfill my aspirations.

  • I look upon delusion as a tool. I am making myself experienced in the art of self-deceit. I tell myself the future could be better. Of course, I wouldn't deceive myself in a way that I could figure out I'm wrong. If I told myself I'd do fine on the history test tomorrow, and then I failed, naturally I'd be sad, so I'd never tell myself that. The future, though, extends infinitely, so you can never really be disappointed.

  • Alcoholics, churchgoers and junkies deceive themselves all the time; your in rather dubious company if self-deceit is the basis of your grand design. The future may extend infinitely, but you don't! Unless you believe there is an afterlife; and there you'll find the biggest letdown of human hopes. On the bright-side, ironically you'll never know, so you can never be disappointed!

  • Well this is just my opinion (the ethics and principals of a lunatic who beguiles oneself into believing one has some sagacity or authority in matters of theology), but at least we can agree on one thing; Amadeus was a good film!

    Au Revoir!

  • Yes, yes, it is best to leave on agreeable terms. I would argue myself that non-churchgoers self-delude just as much, but I think we are in agreement there.

Amadeus was a wonderful film. Fare thee well.

  • It's WOLFGANG Ama-DAY-us MOHT-zart!

The one thing that I think of when I hear those names. How annoying my judge was wth that. THe solution??

    Wolfy Ama-dee-us moh-sart. ^-^

    YOUR MUSIC! ^^

    ***

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh AMADEUS I LOVE YAAAAAAAAA THIS IS THE GREATEST GREATEST GREATEST FILM EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!

  • Let's not forget how his father contributed to Mozart's creativity

  • The point is, Mozart was born creative, he was born talented. You can't write stuff like this with a contribution from your daddy. That's what Amdeus is all about, watch the movie.

  • best movie ever!BEST!

  • Ohh I love this movie! Are me and my friend the only people that find tom hulce the cutest thing?? lol

  • I think he's the cutest thing too!! :D

  • Me too!!!!!!!

  • love this

    movie great

  • This is my favorite film, and its trailer is simply the best trailer ever! I love the way the trailer present the movie: I'm sure anyone who hasn't watched Amadeus will immediately fall in love and look for it after seeing the trailer. Great combination of music, images and the dialog between 2 people was very original. Love the trivia ;"Amadeus, the man, the music, the magic, the madness, the murder, the mystery, the motion picture. Amadeus: everything you have heard is true".

  • Bu film gerçekten harika!!! Eğer bu sahneyi türkçe izlemek isterseniz sitede bir tane var !!!!!!writeArequiem from turkey
