@Trolljolt Well, to be honest, I first signed up because I didn't really have anything better in mind. Once I gratuated from school I tried different jobs, but they didnät really work out. So I signed up, did my tests and a month later I was recruited.

Now, however, after about seven, eight months of doing it, I get a sense of satisfaction in my whole body. I get it every time I get out of bed. Could be I've just been so "brainwashed" that I pretend to like it, but no, it's something else... :S

Once these six months were over, and I graduated as Vice Corporal, I got where I am now: the Specialist Officer training. This is where we get schooled into the officers we are to become in our respective regiments we've agreed to serve in. Here we deal with a lot more psychology and pedagogy, since we're about to...

My time in the Swedish Army has so far been a very hectic one. In three months' time I've learnt how to shoot, throw handgranades, CQC, march in formation and much more. This was basic training, where you'd get into the role of the individual soldier. The next three months was more focused on fighting in a group, squad, section or whatever it's called your country. Here we went through the more psychological aspects of war...

Of course. When Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings trilogy, he was heavily influenced by the manuscript of Beowulf. There is tons of Beowulf/Scandinavian references in the LoTR. Rohan is a near direct reflection of Scandinavia aka the Vikings and to an extent Celtic and Germanic lores as well with the Elves. Middle Earth = Midgard in Norse mythology is the realm of men..the place between heaven (Valhalla) and hell (Hel, (named after the goddess in which ruled death).
