I covered and performed "Alaska" with my band a while ago and we learned that you need a lot of stamina for it and that you can't forget to practice the transitions. If you ever re-do this song, I would suggest refining your transitions and I bet the video would get views like crazy.

eheh i used the strat because the frets are larger and so it's a bit easier to play the sweeps of the beginning. and moreover, when i recorded this song i had the guitar for about 2 weeks and i needed to practise on it.

it took me about one or 2 days to handle it properly i guess. If i can give you a tip it would be to be very concentrate because threr are many changings. the beginning is quite difficult though but the rest of the song is not that hard ;) good luck.
