Actually that is my mistake. The intro to the comic doesn't state that the imperials attacked Coruscant days after Thrawn's death. You have to listen to the audiobook, which is a far more complete telling of the whole story than the comic is. But still, at the beginning of Dark Empire Leia doesn't even look pregnant, so that is a strong indication that a lot of time goes by between the beginning of Dark Empire, and Anakin's date of birth.
I just felt like adding the Dark Empire begins a few DAYS after the Thrawn Trilogy, NOT a few years. Otherwise everything you said was pretty accurate.
@silentbob8201 But Anakin Solo was not born at the beginning of Dark Empire. The in story timeline of Star Wars films and novels is never very clear. Episode 3 covers a span of almost 9 months because Luke and Leia are born at the end of it. Read the introductory statements before Dark Empire begins you'll see that it was only days between the death of Thrawn and the Imperial attack on Coruscant. Dark Empire takes place after that attack as rebels quickly try to retake Coruscant.
Having read all 3 awhile ago, I agree that the first one is the best. That one made me feel really worried for Luke...and I knew he was gonna be okay!
I listened to the first two on audio books. I liked the first one...second one, not so much- I kind of want to hear the third one, though. If only because I heard 1 and 2, oh well. ....hey could you review Avatar? lol
Was it really that bad? Sorry guys, it's not that i don't believe u, i just REALLY want 2 c Leia battle Palpatine in Empire's End, and want 2 know about Anakin's birth in Dark Empire II. Ur right about only die hard fans. But, i borrowing from the library (when they get it).

@pyke11 IT takes place atleast a year after the Thrawn Trilogy. Why? Cause Anakin Solo is born.

@TheHarryMason Where do I get some vinegar? You were right. Ugh! There's not even a lightsaber fight between the 2. That sucked!

I really loved Dark Empire(first one) and the Thrawn trilogy. Oh, and the sequel Jedi Academy trilogy by Kevin J Anderson.
For me, Lucas could keep the prequels.

Finally someone who's moved beyond the clone wars like no one knows how that ends. Thank you Andrew for more up to date continuity.

Yeah, Dark Empire series, not so good. Nice job though, toughing that one out, and giving it a thorough review.
