Jack-I have nothing against Canada, I think that it's a great country, I've been to Quebec several times and the people were very nice. It's just that if you exclude the taxes your paying about $2 per gallon ,which isn't that bad. Here in the states same thing, depending on where you live it has risen dramatically, in some case doubling. This should have been dealt with 30 years ago. The biggest reason why the price of oil goes up is because when we buy overseas, and the dollar is not as valueable as it once was, it takes more dollars to buy the same amout of oil. Oil prices aren't going up near as much as the worth of the dollar is reduced.

Personally I rather felt Tony to be more of a leader than anything we have now, regardless of the party. I like people whom 'lead the crowd' which is why I like Barack Obama. We are demanding more than is available at a given time, we can have gov't mandated caps (say $2 per gallon) but that will lead to gas stations running out of gas and lines at the gas pump, how would you like to go back to only being able to pump gas on certain days depending on your liscense plate?

According to a recent Reuters story oil would be $25-$30 per barrel less. This was when it was around $90/barrel. Imagine how much it will be if we attack Iran. I do believe when we started these wars oil was around $30-$35/barrel?
