  • tornadoes are hard to spot. but it is said anywhere from 15-30% of tornadoes have no funnel. but i know i've seen an invisible tornado. last year in ottawa there was one and i just left the mall when low clouds came over my head. suddenly a few metres away strong swirls began happening and small trees and large branches and street signs start flying hundreds of feet up. and a street sign nearly flew through my windshield. some houses were also destroyed.

  • now this year we see this shit pretty much everyday of the summer ugh this summer sucks lol

  • What number do I call to report one? I can't seem to find it.

  • Wicked video. Those clouds are scary.I didn't see the tornado. What I think was filmed here was a plow wind and those thing's are just as scary.Coming from Saskatchewan I've been through a few myself and they are scary!!.Probably was a tornado somewhere though by the looks of those clouds.

  • Yeah rain wrapped. those aernt any fun. hard buggers to chase.

  • Yeah that looked like you were in the outflow...one crazy storm though...I will admit that.

  • WOW...... anyway, did that kinda hit shaunavon? cause i was in saskatoon and my dad was in shaunavon, and my dog blew down the street from that, and he came running back 5 minutes later, and a tree crashed into a house on 4th street west in shaunavon. wow....

  • Saskatchewan is preety flat. it does have tornadoes and one hurricane i think.i dont know but people say its is a little bit in tornado ally. the strongest it was was i think an f4 tornado. preety flat. northern saskatchewan has forests so it was in center of saskatchewan.

  • it is not possible for there to be a hurricane in Saskatchewan lol you must be thinking of the cyclone that hit Regina, SK a long time ago

  • @boi9031 Are you on crack? wtf are u talking about Saskatchewan has one hurricane?? Rofl.

  • @boi9031 It's impossible to have Hurricane's in Sask. It's completely land locked for thousands of kilometers on all 4 sides.

  • Wow. Pretty good video.

Gotta love our crazy Saskatchewan weather. =)

And Dollard! Dollard Saskatchewan!! Awesome! That's Wanda's last name on Corner Gas. =)

I love how all of the characters last names are small towns in saskatchewan! =D

  • u have to love canada for not having the worst tornadoes but drought is just ad bad ^^

  • You can live on a mountain and get hit by a tornado!!!

  • Nice vid under the circumstances! What happened here is that all that heavy rain created cold outflow winds that undercut that tornado and it's parent updraft..killing it. That's why it seemed to rope out so quickly. Some storms that are "h.p." (high precip) tend to do that. I've chased for decades...it's a real bummer when that happens...at least from a chaser's point of view. Joel in Tucson

  • Thanks for the info. I appreciate that.

  • Sweeet up, sask rules. deff.

Moose jaw and craik are thee best!

  • Yes, Saskatchewan is very VERY flat.

  • It only appears flat. this is central Saskatchewan. Northern saskatchewan is covered in forests, and southern is bloated with hills. The land of the living skys. UPDATE:Tuesday june 30/09 Saskatoon and Area in Tornado warning state- will post videos on weather.

  • Saskathewan is FLAT!!!

  • @BigBadassR Saskatchewan is not as flat as you think. Not all of it anyway.

  • Sorry MeanGene. Was just teasing around because on Corner Gas I heard Saskatchewan natives dislike being told their home is flat. I live in Milwaukee USA, if Saskatchewan is even a little like it was portrayed on Corner Gas, I would move there in a second, flat or not so flat, if I could.

  • No prob, BigBadassR. I was half-bugging you, I don't mind people saying it's flat (heck, I live in Regina, and it's pretty flat out here), but places like Swift Current (not far from where this tornado hit) are actually quite hilly, and even the Qu'appelle valley, not far from Regina has nice rolling hills.

  • I live in Northern Saskatchewan and live close to the Pasquia Hills which are a set of hills with a max elevation of 828m. Very nice if you ever get out there. Not as flat as everyone portrays, however, I find most communities (at least, the ones I have lived in) eerily similar to corner gas.

  • i live in carlyle baby best tornado of the year

  • I don't see a tornado at all....some cool clouds, wind...no tornado..?????

  • go on carlyle summer storm and damage because i live in carlyle

  • The "Truth" hurts, doesnt it MeanGene79? Seriously! Go back to your teepee and smoke your crack pipe. Ya Drunk!

  • @deetracyshow Your version of the truth is out of whack. Please get a life.

  • Hey too bad the tornado didnt hit Regina, that craphole could use a good blowing out, the teepee people are screwin the whole town up, big wampum storm needed bad.

  • deetracyshow, what kind of drugs are you on? Seriously.

  • From about 1:20 until about 1:40 I can see a huge face in the cloud, especially the eyes and nose. Creepy. Anyone else see it?

  • Wow, that is creepy.

  • @grainelevators FREAKY, I live in Edmonton, We have crazy storms in the summer too

  • @MiscElaineous51 it looks like a skull :S

  • @MiscElaineous51

    I See The Face :S

  • Once I left Dollard, the hail was really big and dented my car. The reason why I drove out to Dollard, was because from here in Shaunavon, I could see the clouds were lower and moving wildly.

  • @grainelevators wow.... i wasnt there that day, but my dad was. my dog got blown down the street! i was in saskatoon wiht my grandma AKA the owner of the kings hotel. wow.... a tree fell into a house on 4th street west

  • That was a different storm, it was too dark to film, but that storm had rotation in it.

  • Wow, I live in Dollard, and was standing at the window watching this storm. It really didn't look that bad from where I was watching. It just seemed like your average prairie midsummer thunderstorm, with a little bit of pea sized hail.

  • oh, my god.

i would have died if it anything would have happened.

two of my bestfrends live there!

  • nice one .....i assume this was the cell that formed to the west of the one that most people wound up chasing

  • Yes, that is correct. It was almost deja vu last night. A storm that produced a tornado in Alberta came to Dollard and looked the same but nothing happened this time.

  • at the end you can see a bit of the rotation in the clouds severe thunderstorms are supposed to hit here around porcupine plain sk this evening

  • the most exciting thing to happen there hah

  • Thanks for the vid!

    Great effort for it!

    *****

  • ahh it stormed all day and a lot into the night in Regina here haha
