very nice pics. Just a tip. Try to include some landscape even silhouettes of it in your fireworks pics, it will look a hell of a lot better especially if you have reflections
@bulldogg789123 Dude, you're one big dumbass. Learn to read and understand the comment before trolling senseles you douchebag. I'm not saying this is an example of it, or that everyone that have a nice camera do the same, I'm merely remarking that assholes that call themselves photographers and buy expenssive cameras to prove it but still shot in automatic are, like you, ASSHOLES!!!! Thanks for commenting dickhead :]
emailchrishall the vr is to stablelize the camera however if your shooting using a tripod its better to turn the vr off as the camera gets conflicting imfomation but if your not using a tripod keep the vr on , also when shooting at night its a must to use a tripod to get the best results less camera shake crisper pics
Can I ask you smart people a D90 question. Is it same to assume that the VR would mess up fireworks pictures? Last July I got some really disappointing fireworks pictures. The next morning I was looking at them with my camera sitting on the desk and I noticed I had the VR on. Wouldn't it stand to reason that the VR would actually work against me while doing fireworks?
@emailchrishall I would think so. I've read from several sources - including a 3rd party D5000 manual book that using the VR when mounted on a tripod or during fast exposures can mess up an image. Plus, when you're trying to show movement, the VR can help to defeat the purpose.
Hey, nice pictures....^^! When you were using bulb mode, did you use a remote? I am thinking of buying the sigma 24-70mm EX DG lens for my nikon, what say you about the lens..?
great

I kinda hate people with great cameras and don't know how to use them...

did you use a remote and if so, which one? I have a D300s, will any remote work or it has to be compatible strictly with that model?

Some are good, but some you really notice there was Camera shake. I advise using a a Tripod if affordable.

when you do a bulb photography... on what setting do you set the aperture?
jaybors 2 years ago
When using the bulb setting, try the aperture at the lowest setting, then gradually close it if the picture is too over exposed. :D
