@1thebestthereis1 We have as many as will help. From 5 to 10. We do em every year! I don't buy any of the masks. I either make them myself (it's what I do), or obtain blanks from other mask makers and finish them myself. We started by adding as much as we could every year. It's too expensive to make it all happen in one season!
@1thebestthereis1 Best advice is to stay in character and dont rely on shock scares (popping out of dark places). They are amateur. Be creative and build a bit bigger each year.

It's funny to me to see how many places do trick or treating in the early evening when it's still light. In my neighborhood, we start after sundown, when it's pitch dark outside. That just makes the evening terrifying - but yet if it had been dark in this video we wouldn't be able to see all the fun! ^_^

But if the kid is clearly tentative, and you scare her, and she cries, what you've just done is instilled an emotional trauma that will cause neurosis as they mature. The under mask is a repainted Rubie's jason mask. The hockey mask came from EFX Alive that I believe is no longer online. But you can find many good ones from independent artists online. But I really like this one myself!

Interesting. Well, IMO, if someone comes to the haunt, and isn't prepared for a scare, and decides to punch someone, they will be punched back. It would not be tolerated in my haunt. Depends on the weather. Always different here in Michigan. Sometimes nothing more than a t-shirt and pants. If it's cold, warmer clothes, and we use insulated coveralls.
Color of the coveralls? That's debatable by Halloween movie fans. It's my opinion that it doesn't matter. Navy, charcoal, or the like is fine, as 98% of the patrons won't know the difference. The term -Movie accurate- doesn't apply in that situation if you ask me.

The masks are the first thing to focus on. I made the Jason undermask, and the hockey mask was made by another mask maker. The leatherface is the one available from most halloween stores from the remake movie. The guy who plays leatherface customized it a little so it looks much better. The costumes you pretty much put together yourself, aside from the jason "jacket." That is the standard one sold at halloween stores, weathred to look dirty.
you can get a jason one from someone i know. his youtube is LONDON1111111, or you can just look up "jason vorhees costume" his video should pop up. and for the leatherface, you can just buy a leatherface mask that completely covers the head. those ones are TERRIFING, but their around 50 bucks. and you can just put one together for leatherface. all you need, is the mask, the apron of faces, (around 30 bucks, and you can get that at a halloween store) and some dress clothes. watch the movie

Yeah, this wuz the first year we noticed that problem. 2008 we blocked off the road with cars, but they still squeezed through. This year, they will be bumper to bumper to prevent running straight out into the road.
My favorite is when the parents of the children get mad, lol. Every year I get one or two that give me the "You take it too far! You should be ashamed of yourself" I'll have to video this years...
Yeah, we don't typically get that, but the way I see it, we're not going after the kids, they bring them to us. That being the case, it's their fault.
LOL...its a riot, I mean the parents see the environment, when they bring them (kids) up to the door to get there candy, They see the monsters in the yard. But they still bring there kids up anyway.
It's been my observation that most of them want to scare the shit outta their kids. They push them in, run from them, and even lock them out of the car when they bring them by car! This happened in this video as a matter of fact! Right around 3:50

The under mask is a repainted Rubie's jason mask. The hockey mask came from EFX Alive that I believe is no longer online. But you can find many good ones from independent artists online. But I really like this one myself!

wow...I never got punched, been doing this sort of thing pro style 10 years, and off and on yard haunts...although, been yelled at by overprotective mothers...but never punched.

Interesting. Well, IMO, if someone comes to the haunt, and isn't prepared for a scare, and decides to punch someone, they will be punched back. It would not be tolerated in my haunt. Plain and simple. As I've stated before, if someone can't handle it, they need to stay away. This is all for fun. Too scared? Don't go.

Depends on the weather. Always different here in Michigan. Sometimes nothing more than a t-shirt and pants. If it's cold, warmer clothes, and we use insulated coveralls.

Color of the coveralls? That's debatable by Halloween movie fans. It's my opinion that it doesn't matter. Navy, charcoal, or the like is fine, as 98% of the patrons won't know the difference. The term -Movie accurate- doesn't apply in that situation if you ask me.

yea i was thinking the same way at first i wanted to get oen like the one i nthe movie but then i found out that pretty much any jump suit or anythign one peace and dark looks pretty dang sweet with the mask i went with a full body welding dark jean suit works pretty good put soem fake blood on it and the hands and everything looks really sweet!!! when is your 2009 video comeing up

2009 video...never. Unless they allow me to upload it without muting the audio on it. It "violates" copyright issues so WMG has the audio muted when I upload it. I'm NOT changing the video to satisfy those assholes. My computer just died today, so I can't get to it to upload it to my site. When I can, that's the only place it will be available for viewing. Sorry, but it's youtube, google, and wmg who are the dumb shits in this one.

The masks are the first thing to focus on. I made the Jason undermask, and the hockey mask was made by another mask maker. The leatherface is the one available from most halloween stores from the remake movie. The guy who plays leatherface customized it a little so it looks much better. The costumes you pretty much put together yourself, aside from the jason "jacket." That is the standard one sold at halloween stores, weathred to look dirty.

you can get a jason one from someone i know. his youtube is LONDON1111111, or you can just look up "jason vorhees costume" his video should pop up. and for the leatherface, you can just buy a leatherface mask that completely covers the head. those ones are TERRIFING, but their around 50 bucks. and you can just put one together for leatherface. all you need, is the mask, the apron of faces, (around 30 bucks, and you can get that at a halloween store) and some dress clothes. watch the movie

Yeah, this wuz the first year we noticed that problem. 2008 we blocked off the road with cars, but they still squeezed through. This year, they will be bumper to bumper to prevent running straight out into the road.

It's been my observation that most of them want to scare the shit outta their kids. They push them in, run from them, and even lock them out of the car when they bring them by car! This happened in this video as a matter of fact! Right around 3:50
