PIRATE ship? She is a replica of the LYNX, an Am,erican PRIVATEER, sailing during the Anglo-American War of 1812-15. She held "Letters of Marque" from the US Admiralty, like her Canadian counter-parts carried letters of Marque from the British Admiralty, licensing this privately owned vassel to take enemy shipping as prizes which were sold for profit as a form of Commerce Raiding.

I would be so nervous sailing in a channel. The rippling of the water is decieving to the actual wind direction...im hoping, but just to be safe they are loosing the top sail...whew! yeah, not the place for a topsail...
