  • Eternal fucking hate for this remake. I can't believe people think they can remake a song and make it sound good. It's fucking impossible for this song.

  • Three beautiful women. :-)

  • Absolutely love this video but the original still has the edge

  • wilson phillips and the 2 other lovely ladies brings musical beauty to the world

  • Beautiful...and the girls look pretty dang hot too. :-)

  • If you want to listen to the Fleetwood Mac version I'm sure you can find it on YouTube somewhere. Cover songs aren't SUPPOSED to sound just like the original. I enjoy their re-imagining. It's a very soft, sweet, melodic version sung from a sorrowful point of view as opposed to an angry point of view. Great job.

  • Bah.

  • wow they look better now than they did back in the day

  • Althought the original version by Fleetwood Mac was more explosive, the girls didid it their own way, and I think it sounds sounds very mellow and smooth. A definite good effort.

  • I love these girls. Where have they been all this time?

  • nice song<33

  • didn't recognize carnie at all.. WOW!! they look fanastic

  • I always wanted them to do an Air Supply cover.

  • A beautiful version Wilson Phillips make I simply love this song.

  • Where is the fat lady?

  • @Ajanek She's the one in the middle. Carnie is no longer "fat" as you so put it. :)

  • @Ajanek Little girls grow up and all the baby fat goes away. Carnie is every bit as beautiful now as she every was.

  • yea this is nice,mystical

  • These Wilson Phillips girls sing very good, no question about that, but they took the energy out of the original song completely.

  • totally agree.

  • @guardytube - Agreed. Thats what I like about the original, the most. Plenty of depth and dynamics especially when the guitar flies in!

  • @guardytube

AMEN; you hit it right on the button. This song was an explosion of emotion when written and when sung by Fleetwood Mac. This version is like a giant, brilliant ballad with its balls cut off!

  • @kruparocks for a bit more emotion with a female voice, try lissie watch?v=OltcXMV-9Vk&ob=av2e

  • @guardytube I hate to agree but it blows my mind how someone can sing such a strongly worded chorus with a loungy voice

  • @AserHapi Ace Of Base have already commited that so-called sin with their colourless cover of 'Don't Turn Around', which was better than Aswad's but still misjudged. It was supposed to be a power ballad & the only effectively correct version was Bonnie Tyler's little-known version, which should have got the coverage the other two did.

But about this song, I do agree. I like it enough, but it's a bit like having a boxing glove, yet nothing to thump.

  • @TheMjblades I always thought that was an Ace of Base song and you just made me discover both the original and (way more importantly) the Bonnie Tyler version...thank you

  • @AserHapi No problem! When you count them up, it's amazing just how many underrated 80's artists have actually covered a song that got far less attention than weaker versions (whether earlier or later) have done. The Bangles are a perfect example of it, they've covered several songs in their time (most stay album tracks) & always trump the originals, but then I'd say the Bangles are the best female group ever.

Ace Of Base themselves have usually triumphed with covers, but not there!

  • @guardytube Yeah because their version isn't the origional. They did it their own way I guess.

  • @JohnTheYetiBeast ¬¬ Yes, I know their version is not the original... And yes, they did it their own way...

    FFS

  • So calm... so sweet... "How can I ever change things that I feel... If I could, maybe I'd give you my world"

  • One of the most beautiful songs in history.

One of the most beautiful videos in history.

  • Love the cover!! Chynna u are so beautiful!! Love & peace forevers!!! :-D

  • Good cover, but I still prefer Dolores to sing.

  • Chynna Phillips kinda looks like Marlee Matlin from some (facial) angles

  • A good cover. I was impressed how they made this classical rock 'n roll song their own. I really like it.

  • anybody who says anything bad about this group is obviously tone deaf. they sound like angels!

  • I think this is a fantastic example of a good cover - they put their own spin on a timeless classic as they did with the rest of the album. 2 thumbs way up!

  • my friend totally flipped the channel when this one was on cruising for more hardcore shit. back then I was so embarassed about all of my less than masculine interest. my face was so red and I said nothing. I'm ashamed of myself.

  • GREAT COVER.......!!!!:)

  • love me some WP

  • GREAT SONG!!!! i think its one of their best

  • Classic song, totally ruined

Ive heard a lot of good covers of this song........this isnt one of them....terrible

  • @jupiter1505 : Eh......yer a biscuit.

  • @jupiter1505 I think you need your ears checked. As in, checked if they are even there.

  • bad cover, why don't you write your own music instead of shitting on someone elses

  • Awesome video, song, and singing. These gals have that rare thing, which is "harmony". I love this song and them to death. And they look great!!!!!!

  • The best cover of the song - it's lovely, slow, soothing...

They sound so resigned, like she's letting him go of her own free will.

  • I don't care how they look...great song Ladies!!

  • these ladies are the best igive them 100 out of 100

  • take me back with you, beautiful girls. ps. get me a red caddy convertible. thanx.....back to 2004....

  • take me back with you, beautiful girls. ps. get me a red caddy convertible. thanx

  • Wendy Wilson's lips and Chynna Phillips' eyes deserve to be viewed in HD.

  • Chynna sounds like Andrea Corr. Great song, I like it better than the original version.

  • sounds like the CORRS. love them all! =) Carmi really looks much prettier now.......

  • Carni looks soooo pretty after loosing so so much weight!!

  • texasbabay.. um you dont know Stevie Nicks if you think she didnt sing this.. Fleetwood mac days were awesome

  • Chynna Phillips is beautiful.

  • Oh I love that. That's a wonderful track and I just can't stop viewing it !!!

  • I love that they made this song LIKE their own- they didn't copy Stevie. That's what counts. Love that it's relaxing and in its own way is original.

  • @texasbabay They couldn't have copied Stevie, she doesn't sing Go Your Own Way.

  • @jakethegimp2 Like Footloose?

  • My first reaction was that this cover was going to suck the big one but I actually wound up raping the replay button and found it very sensual and relaxing but it's definitely not something I'd want blasting out of my car. It's Health Spa music at best.

It's pathetic that the some of best songs to come out of the last decade are women doing 70's covers.

And talk about poor timing. They should of waited a couple more years to do this.

  • Waaaaaaaaaaay better than Fleetwood Mac WP can sing anything I'm sorry but Stevie Nicks is not a great singer

  • @coolsweetgroovy Stevie is arguably the greatest female rock vocalist of all time, with an incredibly distinct voice. Also, Lindsey Buckingham sings the hell outta this song. HE wrote and sang it about Stevie. This version is awful! The true meaning is completely lost. You can't make this song a ballad, and this is proof!

  • @JohnTaupin Yawn whatever

  • Love Wilson Phillips! Here's my tribute to them..

    youtube.com/watch?v=jEippUqLL0k

  • An amazing cover!

  • I remember one of them with Marcy Darcy hair, the other was okay, and there was a fat one that was on the beach wearing a dress, lol!!

    BTW sucked big 1's.

  • Bleeeehhhhhhhh

  • SP's so hot, has any one seen her on DWTS? and now I also knoe she's flexible

    ...drool

  • Wow. This must be what it's like to drown in treacle.

Please do not tell Fleetwood Mac you did this version.

  • Beautifully done.So calming and peaceful.my fav is still Fleetwood mac but I like this alot also.

  • Ladies you all still are looking super hoties. love to see you again

  • Amazing interpretation of a wonderful song. They give it a lazy/hazy, melancholy feel -- perfect for the California vibe. Great performance, and one of the few remakes that equals the original.

  • Some songs are so good that they can't be screwed up, no matter who is doing them. This isn't bad at all. And, yes, they're all still hot.

  • Wendy is still just as hot as she was 20 years ago - Chynna was 10 times hotter back then.

  • I wish I could say this to my husband and I. But, we have a son together and it's a lot harder said than done.

  • I hope the chick on the left is preggers...

  • @bludklit of course she is!

  • All the girls look fantastic! Especially Carny, I think she ended up posing for Playboy(?) If not, I'm sure someone out there will quickly correct me. Anyhoo~I'm sure thier intention for this song was harmony and m-e-l-l-o-w...I liked it, they still sound great and found this very enjoyable. Glad they are still singing together~

  • @dollydear98 Agreed! This is a step forward in their profession, not quite like what they have done before, but incredible, nonetheless ;-D

  • Check it out! Three people NOT using an autotuner in pop music released after 2001!!

  • HOLY FUCK!

i thought it was cameron diaz

  • dont listen to this whilst driving....or at least have a coffee

    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz

  • In the beginning you really get the idee they smoked something. Later it gets better, but i still prefer the more rock n roll versions.

  • I think they are one of the purest groups there are, i have loved them since i was 14 and have always related to there music. I always look foward to hearing anything new from them. I hope there will always be new music from them.

    Lisa

  • Wow... good

  • Wow. They're so much hotter now.

  • you know what assclowns mic sings the song yes a flippin man.

  • wow so much descrace for fleetwood mac? if fleetwood mac wasent such a great band that made this song you would not be here hearing them play and sorry to say stevie was not the lead volcal on this song so as you are so fast to cut here down learn the facts.

  • @2112deadsky You are correct. As a matter of fact, this song was Lindsay Buckingham basically telling Stevie to fuck off. Their relationship was coming apart during the making of this album. Twenty years later, Stevie referred to it as "mean".

  • What harmony. I miss this group tremendously!

  • Better than Flettwood Mac's version Harmonys are beteer plus Carnie, Wendy, and Chynna, have nicer voices than Stevie

  • Love the original, love this. The vocals can make flowers bloom.

  • when did music change from great grps like these roxette t'pau etc to the modern stuff which just doesnt compare in anyway with the talent of these grps

  • Nothing like 3pt harmony. This is how a cover should be done: nothing like the original, yet Lindsey Buckingham still gets paid. Good job ladies! I will share this on my Tumblr.

  • quite a turn on :P

  • I Love Carnie WIlson :)

  • I don't particularly care what song they sing, I just love their sound. As a matter of fact, I will be hearing them live on August 19. Ya Whooo!!!

  • awsome redition of a classic. And also way too go the one sister was a little over wait and now she looks amazing way to go girl .

  • she should be arrested for the murder of this song lol

  • Great version/arrangement of the song.

  • Go your own way ... sky is the limit ;-)

  • Snibo..........go back under the rock u came out of ................it may not be The FM sound or what u want to hear but the redition is very good and its jsut a lighter souldful sound... Was FM edition bettre yes but this is not bad at all.... sorry it was just different to what we r use too ..............and btw Wilson Phillips and Stevie Nicks know each other and NOOOOOOOOOoo she would not turn over in her grave !!

  • Ha Ha Ha,

Who are these three Fat B*tches.

    This song is a Joke......right ?!

They've murdered the original.......Stevie would be spinning in her grave (if she were dead)

  • Ms Stargazer87...Yo must be ina Dream World......you can't compare the two styles of music Ms Nicks has been here for 30 years give or take Wison Phillips maybe 3 or 4...and you think thry are beter than Ms Nicks...anywhere anyplace Ms Nicks will blow them out of the water Sorry she has more Soulful Sound then anyonei know and no one evern cmes close ........................

  • @Can00uck Wilson Phillips has been around since like 1990. But still, Stevie is the queen.

  • MsStargazer87 Yo must be in a Dream World comparing Wilson Phillips to Stevie Nicks is like comparing an apple to a Orange..........yes they are both enjoyable to eat but Wilson Philips was here for 4 years and Ms Nicks has been hear for 35 and I will put up Ms Nick to your Wilson Phillips anytime anywhere Ms Nicks will blow them out of the water no offence they r great group just not in Stevie Nicks class sorry!! Ms Nicks is an amzaing Artist with so much soul love her music

  • Amazizng Rendition...................amazing vocals my Favoritre Fleetwood Mac song and u three give it an souldful sound thank you three very much love ur music!!

  • Great remake..

  • id shack up with you 3!!!!!!!!

  • i love the song !

there song is rely taching to the heart.

  • They all look 100% better than they did in 1990.

  • Anyone who knows what history Wilson Phillips was formed from understands exactly why this song was included on their "California" album. It's a natural cover for them to do, and in my opinion they put their own definite spit on a timeless classic! That is a very difficult feat to pull off and they did it nicely.

  • UGH...........PEOPLE LEAVE THIS CLASSIC ALONE

  • wilson phillips love to sing. and wreck the cover of a magazine

  • I heard this song for the first time on the radio years ago, but when I heard it tonight I came home to look up the video on Youtube. I have to say I am disappointed. However, their version of the song is still beautiful and I love the violins and bass in the background. They still have great voices and their harmonies are wonderful. Oh, and the heavy one lost her weight and looks great.

  • I was in first grade when I first saw the video for Hold On.

I had a little boy crush on them then.

As a grown man...oh my god these women are freaking SEXY!

  • Okay Wilson Phillips I must say You need to stay very very far away from Fleetwood Mac as you have just butchered a great song!!!

  • Okay Wilson Phillips I must say You need to stay very very far away from Fleetwood Mac as you have just butchered a great song!!!

  • @MsStargazer87 All due respect to Mick Fleetwood, Chrissy McVie, and and incomparable Lindsay Buckingham, but the only person who has ever butchered their songs is Stevie Nicks and her flock of sheep. Each one of these girls has ten times the talent, soul and voice that she has ever had, and with none of the sheep.

  • @willrichtor Stevie Nicks wrote some of their biggest hits and she's a great performer and singer. These girls can sing for sure, but don't start comparing them its beyond childish. Also, to suggest these girls have "10 times the soul" that Nicks ever had is just insulting. Don't be so disrespectful.

  • I hate saying this, but as much as this song sounds beautiful, the video made me think of BJs the whole time. Sorry Wilson Phillips. I blame your soft lips, your director of the video, and it being very late. :-)

  • what happened to the fat chick ?

  • If you could spell, I'd be more impressed with your crappola J Rudd. These haters who sign on just to hear themselves rattle, really could stand some good old fashioned manners. Go find your Justin Bieber CD and have a great time!

  • I love these girls, but this just makes me want to listen to Fleetwood Mac! I like it better with the energy they put behind it, and I think Fleetwood Mac is one of the best bands of all time & their music shouldn't even attempt to be covered...just my opinion!

  • SUBLIME... !!!

  • DOGS ! _ Just mad my ears bleed - Youtube needs to sort this shit out !!!

  • What a beautiful California melody. Yes, jamesb, I agree it honors the Buckingham original which is itself a work of pure genius. It's so rare that a cover can add any value to the original, but they accomplish this feat.

And. These women are truly beautiful. All of them. There's a big difference, no, a yawning chasm, between girls pretending and wanting to be sexy...LadyG, for example.... and real sex goddesses like Wendy, Carnie and Chynna.

  • This is how a cover song should be done. It honors the original and presents a unique take on it... and it's damn good to boot!

  • Wow this version is better then the original

  • The best version, from the best girl group.

  • Wendy is still the hottest of the three but they are all beautiful!

  • @swstryker I agree they're all beautiful (and Carnie is almost unrecognisable) but Chynna is the most striking in my opinion. I remember back in the 90s, I really wanted to look like her.

  • @BluebirdintheSky Trust me, I also think Chynna is beautiful. Even today. But call me a redhead fanatic. Wendy just had that something extra. As far as looking like Chynna, I'm sure you turned out just fine!

  • we can see you made it to the ocean you can go your own way

    you held on, youre free!!!!

you can swim al the way down to mexico

  • 113 can go their own way.

  • Chynna Phillips looks and sounds better as she ages. Hope for us all...

  • 111 dislikes. Those people must not know good music! Clean your fuckin' ears!

  • song makes me think of my ex

  • A nice enough arrangement but not a patch on the original. It's a song to rock out to, not to relax to!

  • @tombaker1222 I was just thinking exactly that as I read your post. This is ok as 'easy listening' background music in a shoppping mall or the like, but it isn't a patch on Fleetwood Mac's version.

  • :20 in and already much better than there take on Already gone

  • i love this song too

  • this is the best version of this song

  • also, doesn't it seem to have a corrs vibe to it too? which i also love.

  • why did i only hear this just now. i love it.

  • Wow, how hot are they!!!!! They look and sound sexi

  • The Wilson sisters aged pretty well

  • hey where is the fat chick?

  • @contact1araya this was before she was fat, shes the blonde hair one in a peach dress shirt, and shes gotten a lot skinner

  • Wow interesting! I am not sure why so many dislikes? Come on what was you expecting? A screaming guitar? It kind of made me tired to listen to it?

  • What a wonderful version, better than those of the Cranberries actually. :) The mood is much appropriate. It seems that Wilson Phillips likes to sing songs about moving on or letting go... Well, their song, "You're in Love" is already my fave the first time I've heard of it. This one is another case of love at first hearing, hhe. I've just heard it now after I found the title intresting. I luv these songs...it really helps me... :)

  • I like this remake ... to the comments about Stevie always sounding off key ... she does not have the standard woman voice ... neither did Janis Joplin or Grace Slick. Stevie also only sang back up on GYOW ... Lindsay Buckingham wrote and sang this song for Fleewood Mac.

  • Stevie just did back up vocals for the Fleetwood mac version. It was written and sung by Lindsey Buckingham.

  • beautiful song ; ) are they british?

  • @ARoomOfOnesOwn9

Only if by British you mean Californian! Carnie and Wendy Wilson are the daughters of Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys) and Chynna Phillips is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips (The Mamas & The Papas). They grew up together and come by their harmonizing honestly.

  • Damn I barely recognize them. Carnie has especially changed quite a bit.

  • wow! beautiful music. :)

  • i love this song i have got the song cd

  • I WANT that car!

  • Great Performance!

  • Stevie Nicks sure loved it ... very beautiful unthreading of the original melody

  • love this song!! used to play at the grocery store where i worked...lol

  • It's good to see the rest of the members ended up fat as well...

  • Carnie Wilson looks thinner.I'm not saying she was far,but the trench coat on hold on made her look fat.

  • Sempre fiche porca miseria!
