Then I turn on the radio and there is Jonny Diaz. He told me I'm beautiful and that God loves me for who I am. Now, I still see the bad things, but I see the good things more. I love God and I'm proud of who I am.

When I heard this song I cried for hours. Now because of this song, I develope a strong relationship with God and learned to love myself because God made me with perfection.
A couple months ago I wanted to break every mirror I saw. I felt so terrible- you see, I'm 4 ft 8 and very curvy, I'm the exact opposite of what the world says I should be. I started not eating and I struggled with anorexia for almost a month- I even wanted to cut myself, because I felt like I wasn't good enough for anyone. And then I found this song. Now my wrists are clear, I eat 3 meals a day, and I am actually happy. Thank you God, and thank you, Jonny Diaz!

Women today don't realize who came up iwht the idea of makeup or why. If they did, they wouldn't have anything to do with it. Makeup is nothing new. It was made by men back in the old days who wanted their wives dolled up so they'd have something nice to look at in bed. Back then, that (and doing chores, and raising children) were the only reasons women were allowed in the home. They weren't treated like they are now. Women were basically cattle. Things have definitely gotten better for women.:)
Even after listening to this song and knowing that God loves me and knows i'm beautiful, I don't see myself as beautiful. I've been struggling with this issue my whole life. I go around with my friends saying that i am but i rarely feel it. I just don't feel beautiful at all and it hurts me knowing that i think that way. But when I look in the mirror, i can't find the good things about me, all i can see are the ugly things that i've been judged on so many times.

When I was 10 I liked a guy named Mattew. He told people that he liked me to and they told me that, then the next day he said "How could I love you?! Your ugly and you're a freak!" That tore me apart I didint even show up at school for a week after that. Later I started covering my face in makeup and I wasnt myself. I never felt the same. I was fake and I didint act myself. This song makes me smile and try to see myself as a beautiful woman. But its really hard because... well, to be honest I'm a larger woman. Not fat, just extremely big boned and that depresses me a lot, I am a bit chubby to so that doesn't help. I look at guys, and to be honest it really sounds impossible that a guy could ever love a gigantor of a woman like me. It's not exactly appealing to a guy to have a woman be unskinny and pretty. :-/

In high school I wasn't confident with myself and I was overweight and had few friends. The year I became a christian I was more confident and began a passion for Christ. I had a crush (who was the popular jock type) that I had known for a while and he asked me out and we started dating and such. Today we are married with 2 beautiful children all because I became comfortable with myself and had a passion for Christ that grew stronger in our relationship and now my husband loves me for me!!!

My premature grandaughters were prayed for on KLTY and after this song played. They were born 24 weeks 6 days... under 2 lbs... they are now over 5 lbs and 3 months.... I think the reason that they made her look uglier instead of prettier is because it shows that you beautiful the way you are, and your really amking youself uglier in God's eyes, because they way he made you is the most beautiful way you can look, and nothing else can change that, not the amount of makeup, not how much weight you lose, but staying true to yourself, and not changing you looks, or yourself, how you act in the world.

I heard this song in church today and it reminded me of my sister who is only 13 and is worried about dying her hair and wearing make-up and it's from teenage kids. I just wish guys would be a little more sensative to girls and think about how they feel instead of trying to be a player. As a photographer, the only alterations I will make on a photo is touching up on blemishes. I don't do the big dress-ups but more of the natural takes. My friend does the dress-ups and it is great fun to step out of real life for a time being but she uses people who are already confident in who they are as a person. You should always be good with who you are.
One thing that helps me is that we don't need to beautiful for anyone but God. His opinion is the only one that matters. Because He is the one who created us. And He created us for Him, and no one else. We don't have to fit in because God already sees us as an absolutely gorgeous creation.

I know how u feel, i used 2 barely eat, and did everything 2 look beautiful; but i still gained weight, and i still wasnt excepted. If she is drifting I'm sure there's more of a reason than that, cause Harry Potter is only a fictional story and though music can have a bad message, that doesn't make the person bad. Women today don't realize who came up iwht the idea of makeup or why. If they did, they wouldn't have anything to do with it. Makeup is nothing new. It was made by men back in the old days who wanted their wives dolled up so they'd have something nice to look at in bed. Back then, that (and doing chores, and raising children) were the only reasons women were allowed in the home. They weren't treated like they are now. Women were basically cattle. Things have definitely gotten better for women.:)

Even after listening to this song and knowing that God loves me and knows i'm beautiful, I don't see myself as beautiful. I've been struggling with this issue my whole life. I go around with my friends saying that i am but i rarely feel it. I just don't feel beautiful at all and it hurts me knowing that i think that way. But when I look in the mirror, i can't find the good things about me, all i can see are the ugly things that i've been judged on so many times.

I thought of this song as I was straightening my hair "Her hair isn't straight, her body isn't fake and she's always felt over weight" I've always been over weight and frizzy hair. I'm also 24 and regret some nights. Have done things I said I'd never do. Gonna listen to this again. Last time I heard this on K love I had surgery and had a medical vaccume attached to me and didn't feel really beautiful. But then I broke down and cried *just as I'm doing now* gotta stop listening to Satan's lies!

I've struggled with my body image since I was 8 years old. I've never felt more happy about myself as I have since I heard this song.
I used to make myself sick with diet pills, starving myself, wired for days. Even when I was alone in my room, I was hiding my body from my own eyes.
I thank God for gracing me with a soulmate who makes me feel just this way and opening my eyes, finally, after 13 long years of hiding.

I first heard this song the week after my boyfriend dumped me for one of my friends. I was trying to hide the hurt I felt from everyone, and from myself. I'm pretty sure I fooled them, but I couldn't stop berating myself for how ugly I was compared to her. After I heard the song, I cried for like an hour and I prayed to God to show me my beauty, because God does not make ugly things. For weeks I'd wake up and turn on my radio, and there was Jonny Diaz, reminding me I am beautiful :)

When I was 10 I liked a guy named Mattew. He told people that he liked me to and they told me that, then the next day he said "How could I love you?! Your ugly and you're a freak!" That tore me apart I didint even show up at school for a week after that. Later I started covering my face in makeup and I wasnt myself. I never felt the same. I was fake and I didint act myself. When I heard this song I fianally felt like God really cared and I felt beautiful. Now I understand what beauty really is.

This song makes me smile and try to see myself as a beautiful woman. But its really hard because... well, to be honest I'm a larger woman. Not fat, just extremely big boned and that depresses me a lot, I am a bit chubby to so that doesn't help. I look at guys, and to be honest it really sounds impossible that a guy could ever love a gigantor of a woman like me. It's not exactly appealing to a guy to have a woman be unskinny and pretty. :-/

In high school I wasn't confident with myself and I was overweight and had few friends. The year I became a christian I was more confident and began a passion for Christ. I had a crush (who was the popular jock type) that I had known for a while and he asked me out and we started dating and such. Today we are married with 2 beautiful children all because I became comfortable with myself and had a passion for Christ that grew stronger in our relationship and now my husband loves me for me!!!

I am only 13, and this song applies to me so much. I am that girl, 14, flipping through a magazine, seeing all those models. I am overweight, and I always think lowly of myself. I get bullied at school. I get called terrible names. I never try to talk to anyone, or try to stand out. If I do, I'm afraid people are going to judge me. I get told that I look good and everything by my friends, but they are my friends. They don't want to hurt my feelings. I really hope God thinks that I am beautiful..

I was picked on in school because of my size. Strive to please God, for He is the only one we should strive to please. I never would have guessed he was considered a "christian artist." I'm athiest and I still love this. This song is a shout-out to the absurdity of the way our youth sees "pretty" these days. A lot of his songs aren't christian-based. He's got a few specific Christian songs, but i would never call him a "christian artist". (and please don't hate on the athiest part. It's a choice.)

My premature grandaughters were prayed for on KLTY and after this song played. They were born 24 weeks 6 days... under 2 lbs... they are now over 5 lbs and 3 months.... This is one of the most beautiful, genuine, inspirational songs I've ever heard.
It's true- in our hearts, most of us really are beautiful people. Even if we can't see our own beauty, other people can. It radiates from us, and touches other people.
To me, that's what counts. Not having perfect skin, straight hair and being super skinny. Honestly, all those outward appearances will eventually fade. But being good, that never goes away.

I think the reason that they made her look uglier instead of prettier is because it shows that you beautiful the way you are, and your really amking youself uglier in God's eyes, because they way he made you is the most beautiful way you can look, and nothing else can change that, not the amount of makeup, not how much weight you lose, but staying true to yourself, and not changing you looks, or yourself, how you act in the world.

As a photographer, the only alterations I will make on a photo is touching up on blemishes. I don't do the big dress-ups but more of the natural takes. My friend does the dress-ups and it is great fun to step out of real life for a time being but she uses people who are already confident in who they are as a person. You should always be good with who you are.

@MissBipolar97 God does not make mistakes, and u r not a mistake. To God each and everyone of us are original masterpieces. I know how u feel, i used 2 barely eat, and did everything 2 look beautiful; but i still gained weight, and i still wasnt excepted. Finally I turned 2 God and said I was tired of trying 2 be what the world wanted me 2 be, and I asked him 2 shape me into what he wanted. I'm happy now and schools not that bad. Turn 2 God, he has a destiny for u, that only u can fulfill.

@lilliepad42 the video is showing that you dont need to wear loads of make-up or have your hair done perfectly and you dont need electronics to make pictures of you to look more perfect- you're perfect just the way you are. how God sees you is the most important thing.

this song has a substantial role in my testimony, throughout growing up I never felt like I fit in any where and I had dealt with sexual abuse. I have had little to no self esteem, God talked to me through this song and made me realize that even though I have went through this stuff I am still a beautifuk creation made by God and he loves me no matter what my past was.

I wish there was a way for a woman to see what i see and think and feel when i see a woman dressed in skimpy "sexually attractive" clothing. Maybe some don't even realize that they are creating this reaction.
But then on the flip side i feel like i wish i could pull some aside and tell them that they are beautiful, they don't ever have to feel like they need to dress this way or be treated that way for attention.
I am a male against skimpy clothing. Beauty is inward.

Guys please help me with something. A girl I know is calling herself ugly when she's not. I'm getting extremly worried because she's putting herself down in the ground for a reasont hats not true. Im trying so hard to conveince her that she's not ugly but she refuses to listen to me and as some of you know girls like her do everything they can to get prettier and skinner and they sometimes end up DYING from it...I really need help on conveincing her guys. God created her special, because there is no one else that looks like her, no one else has her little quirks that make her who she is, no one has her smile. God created her with a purpose! @iluvEastonTurner Just cause she likes Harry Potter doesnt mean she's drifting away from God. If she is drifting I'm sure there's more of a reason than that, cause Harry Potter is only a fictional story and though music can have a bad message, that doesn't make the person bad. There are a lot of strong christians that are for Harry Potter. Pray that she stays with God and realizes what a prize she is instead of blaming it on stupid things like a fictional story and music.

@iluvEastonTurner I hope there's more to this than she is just listening to Gaga and Britney and like Harry Potter, cause while Gaga and Britney aren't very good music, that doesn't really show she's turning away from God. I'm guessing she (and possibly you) is young and is simply interested in the trendy music of the day (and fun fictional stories). Just stick with her, you and your family, and help keep her musical choices from becoming a greater influence on her life.
