I think the reason they did so well is that they remixed the song in their own way.. It didn't sound JUST like the song. It had some "penta flare" :)

@SuperSoccerguy23 Dartmouth Aires were -awesome-, and absolutely deserve a lot of recognition and respect, but I think Pentatonix was the better choice because I think their sound will translate better to an album than DA. I would go watch the Aires perform live in a heartbeat, but I don't know if I'd enjoy listening to a recording near as much as I would for Pentatonix.

The reason I made the comment about recording is that the prize for the winner included a recording contract. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be able to decide between DA and Pentatonix, they have very different styles and I love both.
