  • i"ve always listened to them but never seen a live video of them. Their just as good live as on the album

  • On tour this fall with ATB, Veil of Maya, and within the ruins!

  • wow great sound!

  • Have y'all ever wondered what it would be like if the people who argue so bitterly on these comments would meet for real? It would be all "oh... sorry for sayin all that crap about triggers and mics," and then the other guy would be like "I don't care! Your lack of knowledge over insignificant details really pisses me off!!"

  • It's bands like these that make me proud to pay to advertise them to the world

  • Like fools waiting for a sign

  • @therubs4u Karl gave me the mic for that part when I saw them live. 'Twas awesome.

  • This band is literally my life

  • BRANDEN DOES NOT USE TRIGGERS! PERIOD! I'VE EVEN ASKED KARL!

  • By the way, a drum mic can be plugged into any type of filter creating the same effects as a trigger except of course when activating samples. Triggers can activate samples that are digitally preset. If u set a drum mic up to a filter, you can make any sound with samples and synth easily.

  • This band is the epitome of post hardcore and emo. REAL emo. Fabricated music and 'prescision' means nothing when you play what you feel, and thats what MS does. This band has so much to offer. I love it. Being of the late 80s and 90s posthardcore and emo era, I say that MS is the true evolved form of that era. The way it was supposed to be. A lot of the new stuff you hear tends to point to a certain demographic. MS sets themselves apart by not changing.

  • @krellboy this is metalcore though, thurday and thrice are pxc. i love mis sigs but seriously they aren't close to pxc, its too heavy. and mis sigs are breaking up, sorry to be the barer of bad news.

  • @xthetempestx Lol no they're not. Google it.

  • @ExpIores i don't have to, dude. the guitarist left, they will most likely fade off into obscurity.

  • @xthetempestx K? Dude.

  • @xthetempestx They're recording a new album in 2011, check their myspace

  • @jonowev since losing 2 big members i wish i could believe that, but if its true then im so stoked for next year

  • @krellboy one of the few and far between smart people commenting on misery signals videos

  • img lad no one has had their head up their ass and disliked this. 36 people know where the fuck its at! fucking love misery signals.

  • how can someone think triggers and mics are the same thing, what the fuck. a simple google search will show you they are not the same

  • no dislikes!!

  • oh they toured with The Architects. would of loved to seen that show

  • @Joelfan14 not THE architects, just architects

  • @danmorris778 ....and they just happen to be on the Cool tour! seein it!!

  • some bands use triggers just to create a better live bassdrum sound...just sayin'

  • @average0citizen I mean, if u know u can play well without it, and the trigger will give u a better sound, I dont see anything wrong on using it... its better quality thats it

  • You can listen and tell that he is using triggers.

  • @Skizye8 dude, every professional drummer uses triggers. i hate seeing that fucking comment everywhere! it doesnt help the drummer any, it doesnt make the song easier. they just enhance the sound through the PA. jesus christ.

  • @cworange66 where do you get that I am insulting the band for using triggers? I was responding to the people saying he isn't using triggers when he obviously is. Not that it matters but I used to play in a band and I used them when we played as well.

  • @Skizye8 i wasnt saying you specifically, i just noticed your comment. there's a lot of ignorant people on here that think using trigger is a magic "make the song easier button". re- reading my comment tho, i do apologize for taking out my frustration on you. i didnt realize you were ALSO responding to the many morons on youtube

  • wow... thats why this guys is one of my favorite drummers.... so much style and its so fucking complicated.

  • vocalist's shai hulud jersey is an epic win.

  • i have that jersey, its so damn comfortable.

  • brandens drums sound awful.

after seeing this im kind of disappointed, he played all of it sloppy as hell. no im not bashing, and yes, i know what im talking about

  • @gdrummerg

Look here dude. If you "know what you're talking about", then you would most definately know, that this is just record at one of their random tour shows. They don't have time to make the drums sound perfect through the mixing board, and make other adjustments. This is damn fine nonetheless, and great musicianship. Sloppy? My ass man.

  • @jgun1985 hope off his jock and open your ears.

you would have to be an idiot to think this is tight...it all sounds awful, and even a half assed mix should sound better than this. im not going to argue with you via youtube comments. get a grip and accept shit.

  • how is his druming sloppy here?... its technical and powerful... different from the recording but i dont here any mistakes just odd technical shit...

  • @jgun1985 clearly he does not know that the drummer and lead guitarist father was part of the New York symphany So your observation is right he does not know shit about live music

  • its just that his triggers sound choppy at parts

  • Whoa whoa whoa!! i KNOW you didnt accuse branden of using the 't' word! he does not.

  • @Embracable dude, why does everyone think using triggers is a bad thing? it doesnt make the song easier to play, the drummer still has to hit every stroke, they just clean up the sound through the mixer. a lot of pro drummers use them. but guess what, theyre still playing the damn song!

  • @Embracable triggers aren't bad...

  • @Embracable haha, damn right, it's shitty noise gating in this video.

  • @Danielc412 exactly...if they took the time to at least make the triggers to sound decent i might agree that triggers are a good idea, but so far i feel if your playing under 200-250bpm than you can stick with a natural sound.

  • @Embracable Wurd, in this vid, it's just that his toms are gated in order to reduce bleed on those mics. But whoever was in charge of that, messed it up, which is why you can hear the cymbals come through in a weird way when the toms are hit.

  • @Embracable No no, triggers are mics for your bass. Chill the fuck out.

  • @metalskater9 nah dude, theyre not just mics for your bass.. *sigh. lemme tell you what they are man. theyre amplified digital sound mixed in with the natural acoustic sound to make it sound full. it sounds like they triggered the whole kit, but took some shortcuts so it just doesnt sound good. Branden usually never uses these anyways. so theyre not just mics as there are actual drum mics haha. they make every hit the same volume so it sounds fluid. blah blah blah, you probably already know

  • @Embracable Dude I drum, I know whats up. Live or not, your drums are triggered. The settings on them may be set to just amplified, so the drums have the same tone, just louder. I do agree that he does not really use triggers like most people do, but he does use triggers. Just sharing some info bro :)

  • @metalskater9 i think youre still confusing drum mics with triggers but whatever. who cares. haha

  • @metalskater9 Dude, I'm in a band, drum mics and triggers are the same thing lol

  • @metalskater9 NO they are not dude. Quit trying to sound intelligent about drum equipment when you obviously do not know what you're talking about.

  • @jerma7x Shut up faggot. Triggers are mics, quit your bitching and watch the video.

  • @metalskater9 triggers are definitely NOT mics. ask any pro, amatuer, or advanced amatuer. this is fact. simply put, triggers change sound, mics make stuff louder. thats it. no reason to argue now.

  • @metalskater9 how can someone think triggers and mics are the same thing, what the fuck. a simple google search will show you they are not the same <<<listen to this man!! you are a stupid dickhead..GOOGLE IT BASTARD!!!

  • @metalskater9 I didn't know pointing out your hilarious ignorance counted as bitching.

  • @Embracable Last time they were in Toronto I told him that it's the biggest breath of fresh air to hear drummers that actually soundcheck and you can HEAR them as good as the rest of the band... and he just told me that he stomps hard and that does the trick! It sounds so much better to actually work to be heard than to be lazy and trigger for an application that doesn't require your toes to go at 784339435983259BPM... I love how you called it the T word though haha:p

  • @Embracable Because triggers are a bad thing?

  • wtf branden definatly doesnt use triggers...

  • triggers? what the hell

  • I got an idea. How about you join a band, tour constantly, practically starve every night just so you can do what you love to do and play the same songs night after night after night, struggling to have the same enthusiasm as before. You'll learn a lot more from that than uploading your FPS movies.

  • wtf... hes not playing sloppy... hes adding new shit and the drum sound quality is really bad... noob///...

  • one of their best songs ever!

  • guy sounds like a fucking grizzly :| WTF..he has a much brutal voice live then on the record...

  • karl vs grizzly= victorious karl

  • They had a different singer for that record.

  • lolz WRONG

  • "LOLZ" I meant the singer was Satan.

  • brutal

  • Woah! That bass kick sounds insane :|

  • SICKEST VOCALIST EVER

  • This is the highest quality live video of this i've seen! Friggin epic man!

  • i fucking love misery signals

  • karl's vocals = monsterous :)
