for small cats, cut shiner should work fine. The shad we use are a few lbs...check out the end of the vid (4:26). that piece of bait is larger than your hand. we drift from time-to-time, but we're anchored up for the fish in this video...current was moving waaay too fast. Bait = Cut Shad.
