All hail to Max Hastings and his awakening, having followed this man's work for the last 30 years it is inspiring to see how he has evolved in his understanding of the true nature of war and what it means to the ordinary person. Shame on the modern-day war-mongers and their bloodlust, have no doubt about where they wish to take us. One day, maybe one day we will learn the literal lessons of war as so poingnantly expressed by this now great author.
I think it's high time the British formally apologised for their part in leading to the man-made famine of 1943, which was ultimately down to inherantly racist policies. This petition, ironically created by a British person, asks the government to take this matter up. I believe I owe it to my ancestors who died in their millions to fight for their honour.
