The title of this song is "To ostatnia niedziela" (Polish: This is the Last Sunday; 1935) is one of the long-time hits of Jerzy Petersburski. In 1937 a Russian version was written by Iosif Alvek and performed by singer Pavel Mikhailov backed by the State Radio Committee Jazz Band, led by pianist Aleksandr Tsfasman, under the title of Weary Sun (Russian: Утомлённое солнце, Utomlyonnoye solntse).
It calls "Tired by the sun". Famous song of the World War II period (Great Patriotic War on the Russian territory). It'ssounded in the 1st part at 6:25.
You get this for free and you gripe about the video quality? You could (should) just buy the DVD and support the artist. The DVD does the beauty of the film justice.
Maybe someone from Russia could tell keithlango about copyright etc in the Russian Federation...
I just know that Norshtein or his descendants would not benefit from buying the DVD. Even if someone could buy an official version (of Soiuzmul'tfil'm).
I've never seen anthing more terrible then this glass of vodka with a rye bread...i hope notjust russians can understand it...and these drops of water... It's unimaginable, unforgettable, unbelievable!!! Какая же у нас грустная жизнь...
That's right... and this is the matter with the majority of the videos posted on YouTube... Why are the files in such a poor quality? We all have fast internet connection today, so there's no use really in reducing the quality of videos in order for them to be less heavy... I don't quite get it.
It costs a lot of money to send large files across the internet. Best way to "share" videos is over bittorrent. I didn't see many animations on there, though :(

Beautiful, although the poor quality of videos on youtube does great injustice to the artistry of the work
