Great info Will. What are your thoughts on Whey Hydroslate? I've read that this absorbs faster than concentrate or isolate, but I'm kinda leery of things that are too modified in labratories!
How do you space creatine usage and whey protein usage after a workout? Do I take the creatine immediately after my workout. Wait for a couple of minutes then consume a protein shake? Does it really matter how both are consumed to get the best results?
Is it reasonable to intake 100g (separated over 5 meals) whey concentrate daily to supplement a (4-5)x/week workout for a 145lb 19-year-old? I get about 50-60g/day protein from natural sources.
No they are not. I gave you where to look to get answers you need, and the vid above covers the topic well. Read article I directed you to, stop being brain washed by BS marketing. Good luck...
Incorrect. Everything in that vid is correct and Mercola's info on whey is 100% BS and designed to sell people like you his whey. Read "The Whey it is" on the BrinkZone site and stop being sold a pile of BS by Mercola.
Good unbiased information--thank-you.

What about all the Cholesterol in concentrates? Some concentrates have up to 45% of your daily cholesterol per scoop! Isolates have no cholesterol.

more sugar in concentrate than isolate so if you are diabetic - just stick with the isolate..

How will I know if the concentrate I purchase from a company is good? Do I need to worry about harmful metals in whey protein?

To Will Brink; does whey protein act differently in the body than regular protein from say... beef?

Why are you holding an empty coffee cup?
MrRu06 1 year ago 3
@MrRu06
Why do you think it's empty? Maybe it's just low on coffee.

I personally favor concentrate over isolate, because it is more nutrient dense as it contains more of the fat soluable vitamins.

Most products seem to be using both in the ingredient listing. I'd like to hear your thoughts on how important the "cold processing" is?
Guardian49811 1 year ago 2
@Guardian49811
Just a generic term for the processing. All quality whey is made under low temps to preserve the native proteins.
