i have burned mine in for about 1 week straight.. I just left them running for a week while i was on vacation.

They did soften up a bit in the mids and especially the highs.

But the mids suffer quite a lot...

I emailed ultamate ears and i have never heard back from them.

I had listened to the m-audio's version of these headphones, and i can say the eb5 pros are nice, but the mid range totally suffers at the expense of the extra bass.

These sound very nice.. but i should have gotten the 5 pro's instead of the eb "extended bass" 5 pro's ...

Im going to cragislist my eb5pros and buy a set of the 5pro's asap.

if you are still using the stock headphones that came with the headphone, you're missing out. check bass-earphone [.] com for some insane in-ear headphones

I have a set of 5EBs. The bass is incredible, but at the expense of mids and highs. They nearly completely kill off treble and some mids. They're good, but not worth the amount of coin people ask for them.

i agree with you, but did you burn them in first? you run white noise about 200 hour, after that the bass will be much more enjoyable. and the high and mid will be much more defined. however, UE has quality issue because the two set that i have already have crack on the shell, but their customer support is great
