Nobody does Shady Grove like Doc Watson!! My brother(now deceased), turned me on to Doc Watson back about 1983, and I couldn't believe how talented he was to be blind. He's so incredible.
Why are the idiots in the crowd talking during this unbelievable performance??? Shame on them. They ought to shut the hell up and pay attention, they might just learn something.
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video. Listening to Doc tell his story brought a tear to my eye. brenniewood says it the way I feel,"I love this man and his music. Pure inspirational genius...
seems that he plays with alot of people depending on the venue and the region. Jack Lawrence is accomponying Doc at this gig. I believe they are long time friends with a history of collaboration.
Correct, 1st time I saw Doc play, it was with Jack in 1984 or so. I met Jack years later when he was working at a guitar shop/luthier in Charlotte. Great guy, but not the best player when he's had a few. ;)
