@Smoogy69 Yes, he was a Marshall ferret. Highly doubt our ferrets are related as Ringo was born a lonnng time ago. Your ferret is just a Blaze like Ringo was. And yes - he was deaf. I love deafies. My Pan and Bitzy that I have now are deafies.

One of my ferrets, "Mr. Pooterwinkles" was a chatty ferret. They are so cute! It's like having a puppy that never grows up.

@Ferretocious I named him that because he farted so bad all the way home from Vegas to Ventura, CA. I added the winkles to his name because it was cute. He was sooo farty! Thats the whole story of becoming Mr. Pooterwinkles. Nick named (Poots) for short. I love ferrets so much! They are wonderful pets.

My baby ferret has grown SO MUCH in 5 weeks. HE used to be smaller than 20cm now he is about 35.

@demonic41700 HAHAHAHAHAHA! He was! Sadly I lost Ringo a couple of years. He made it to six and half - totally healthy to the day he passed away. Vet said it was most likely Lymphoma. I'm so glad I captured so many vids of him. He's probably in more vids on here than any other ferret.

@SydsPigs No - this was eight years ago. Ring passed away several years ago to Lymphoma.

Have you bought - and read - Ferrets For Dummies cover to cover? They're a LOT of work and VERY expensive to care for since so few vets treat them and since they're prone to so many diseases.

I had one who was adrenal and I had the surgery and it was a success.

Alex lived to be 10.

I love my ferrets more than anything in the world ( I don't have kids)

and I would go broke to take care of them ( and have) when they were ill.

@shorty35565 Yes - isn't that adorable? Sadly pet stores sometimes have ferrets that are less than eight weeks old. Ringo was only about seven weeks here. Maybe even younger.

No, no - this was years ago. I got him at a pet store in Florida. This film's from 2002. Once I moved to WA and started volunteering with a ferret shelter my ferrets all came from there. Johnny Rotten was the last of my purchased ferrets - from a Petco in WA.

I don't suggest you buy it - I suggest you ADOPT it. There's thousands of ferrets at shelters. And also don't get one until you've read "Ferrets For Dummies" cover to cover and are sure you have the time - and money - to care for one.

im gonna get my ferret at Northern Nevada Ferret Network. I was gonna get my ferret at Petco but the ferret person said they were from marshalls farm, and i havent heard good things about that so ya. :)

Ringo came from a pet store 6 1/2 years ago. The rest of them came from Little Dudes Ferret Ranch - a ferret shelter I volunteer with her in WA. They were all at least a year old when I adopted them. Puck, Pan and Jack I adopted at the same time from the shelter a year and a half ago. Puck and Pan (Sneezy and Spanky originally) came from one home and Jack was a depressed ferret that another family had and never let out to play.

Yes - all my first ferrets came from pet stores. More importantly, though - make sure you've full researched what it takes to care for one. Buy the book Ferrets for Dummies and read it cover to cover.

No, I didn't say that. Teddy, the older ferret you see in this video, died shortly after this video from cardiomyopathy - an enlarged heart. Ringo is still with me and 6 1/2 years old - oldest I've ever had a ferret. He's also perfectly healthy. Most ferrets end up with insulinoma, cardiomyopathy, lymphoma or adrenal disease as early as 3 or 4. Which is why getting ferrets should never ben implusive. Their vet bills can be HUGE. I also just had $600 worth of dental work on one of mine.

Yup that's him! He lightened up quite a bit and turned six this past July. So far he's been very healthy except for a recurrent ear infection we finally got rid of. Every other ferret I've had adrenal disease, lymphoma, insulinoma or cardiomyopathy by 3-4 years. He's my success story!
