  • Haha! Cute and funny vid! I likes! :)

  • I am in miami, I got a job offer in LA what do you think? is it worth to move to LA

  • I think the main thing isn't unique to LA, it's moving to a huge city a la (NYC, LA, Chicago). You're going to be giving up something to live in a big city. It's crowded (but we wanted to be urban) and there's no parking (but public transit is boss) and the rent is too damn high. That's the way it is. I am more interested in hearing the Californian-side. What makes LA LA (as opposed to NYC or Chicago)?

  • @jessi330 I love how you formed that question. Seriously, no sarcasm here.

Yeah, urban life is a mixed bag of challenges and advantages, no doubt.

As far as LA being "LA" goes, that's something that I think has to be seen first hand to really decipher. There's an emphasis on physical appearance out here that seems to go beyond reason and practicality IMO, but that's just part of it. There's also an obsession with celebrity that I don't see in people who live in other parts of the country.

  • :) I do know I am a month late in seeing this one. We have Dunkin' Donuts everywhere around here. Didn't know about the lack of them there. If it were history in LA .. I'd know it ... Today,, in the current ... not'n't a clue! :P

  • lol what about Starbucks?

  • @kitchenladyful Never been big on Starbucks. DD's coffee kicks butt, tho (these being subjective and all, of course).

    :-)

  • Haha! I just moved from Chicago and I had my fill of them! Krispy Kremes is in my neck of the woods in L.A. though. I think there doughnuts are better. heehee

  • @ruddgirl I agree. :) I've always thought that Krispy kicks Dunkin's ass anyday! LOL! Sorry D.D. fans! :)

  • Time for a new video, matha facka!

  • @sneakypreacher lol

I have some footage but unfortunately no time to do anything with it.

  • @OhCurt I knew you were probably busy...I just felt like bustin' your stones...cause thats what I do.

  • @sneakypreacher And you do it very well. LOL

Thanks, actually, it's nice to be busted this way (that's what she said?)

  • @OhCurt LOL

  • I've been away. So you moved to Georgia? What's there? You know besides a bustling economy?

  • @audionautix Nah, was just there for work. Wrapping up a work related Miami trip right now and looking forward to going HOME!

Actually shot some footage while I was here - no idea what I'll do with it yet.

  • @OhCurt

What's really freaking me out in this video is that you look YOUNGER than you did, like a year ago.

How does anybody do that? Go jump in a lake. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

  • @audionautix Thanks! It's the diamond dust facial that did it.

  • whoohoo ATL, that's where I live! But it's not about DD here, it's Krispy Kreme all the way!! ;)

  • Oh hell! My plans are ruined!! lol

  • Boston Cream, Sour Cream and Old Fashioned are my faves!

  • MMM....donuts.....

    *salivating*

  • I thought Dunkin Donuts were everywhere in the US? Weird though, as out of everywhere in the world, I would have thought LA would have DD!

  • That seems like a business opportunity

  • Kool video, and I get your point :) IMO...California doesn't need a donut chain like DD. There are plenty of home-made pastry shops and excellent donuts all over california. DD just will add to the number of those struggling with obesity... xxx

  • Time to make the donuts!

  • No decent donuts here either, its a sad sad existence I tell ya.

  • No DUNKIN' DONUTS in Los Angeles?

    That sounds unAmerican to me.

  • I suppose I'll just stay where I am and add to the problem here rather than doing so elsewhere:) Moving takes loads more effort than I'm willing to conjure up.

I've always preferred Krispy Creme although in a pinch I'd probably eat from a chain called "Dirty Rathole Donuts" if one existed, LOL.

  • I AM THE NUMBER 1 FAN FOR DUNKIN DONUTS : )

    LUVVVVVVVV IT !

    : )

    **Kisses**

  • WTF? If they opened in LA it would be a goldmine. Remember when Krispy Kreme opened up in your town and they stood in lines around the block for some? It could happen to Dunkin. And why are there one in every city block in the East but none in the West? (Shakes Head) I don't get it.

  • Love me some Dunkin Doughnuts. I actually considered switching coasts as this winter thing is getting really old. The lack of DD in LA might stop me.

  • Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom.... vicarious donut eating. I can do it.

  • This video made me hungry.

  • The doughnuts look great but as Rhoda Morgenstern would say"

Why am I putting this in my mouth? I might as well apply it to my hips".

  • I can think of worse reasons for choosing a place to live...

I haven't seen Dunkin Donuts in BC either, now that you mention it :)

  • I'm in Atlanta and if I move anywhere it will be BACK to the country where I grew up, not into a bigger city. I've learned my lesson.

I like DD, also Krispy Kreme -- whatever as long as it's cream-filled, or chocolate covered, not much of a "glazed man" myself. If I'm having a doughnut (rare), might as well pile on the sugar.

I gotta admit though, I haven't had a doughnut for a year or two that I can remember, even though they have KK in QuikTrip's everywhere I go...

  • We definitely could not move to LA then. Looks delicious!

  • Chocolate frosted? Kurt...Kurt...Kurt...mmm...

  • Strange that they don't have Dunkin Donuts at least at LAX.

I'm not much of a DD fan myself. I prefer Tim Hortons.

  • Quite the drawback

  • Dunkin' Donuts has become synonymous with prostitution around here, so I don't go there.

I try to frequent places with less competition.

  • That's why I want to move to Oregon .....Oh, not for DD, but for Voodoo Doughnuts :-º

  • We only have a couple of DDs here and I mean 2. I am a Krispy Kreme person anyway.

  • As another donut-luster, I salute you!...heheheh Was that a "manager's Special"? hehehe No, I don't know them ALL by name...hehe HUGS!

  • lol! Donutgasm. We have Tim Hortons, but I'm not much of a sugar fiend. I tend to go for fast food like Pizza and a good burger. The Boston cream donut with vanilla custard is pretty orgasmic, though.

  • Dunkin Donuts aren't very nice...

  • I honestly don't know the last time I had one.... but i've yet to find anything that compares to Krispy Kreme. Ohai btw. >:)

  • I passed a Dunkin in Chicago last week, but I'd already gotten my morning sugar/flour/coffee mix elsewhere. Damn. I've actually edited the video I shot there, I just need to put in transitions and music and stuff and remember how to post....

  • Hi Curt!

It's so good to see you again. Hope you are having a fun time in Atlanta.

    JoAnn :-)

  • I never really had any intent on moving to LA before, but now i REALLY have no interest. Thanks for doing your part in trying to help the over population!

  • Mmmm.. donuts.... (((Curt)))

  • I no longer go to DD on Sunday mornings. I've found an even better local place to get my chocolate long johns!

  • Tim Hortons in Canada.. eh?

  • I only buy asian....s doughnuts

  • There are a few DD where I live but since I am diabetic and DD does not make donuts that I can eat.....well its a no go for me.

  • I see a future intervention coming your way...or a case of diarrhea ... jus' sayin'

  • @PrincessDiana161 If you'd make me that pizza, I wouldn't have to resort to these drastic measures.

    *single emo tear*

  • *carb-free stomach growl*

  • I have one a block away and since you can become addicted, haha, I try to stay away;

  • I had a DD in Germany the other day because of your talk about the subject! I've actually never seen one in this country before though. Odd that they don't have them in LA...

  • Got a craving for donuts now :)

  • No Dunkins? Hmmmm.. Well, I'm still going to move to San Diego in July. Luckily, there's a donut shop near where we're moving that make my favorite kind of donuts. Maple Bars! :):) I'm so happy that you're vlogging again. I hope you continue to do so... xooxo

  • @ItalianStallionette West Coast Gina??!! W00T!!

Okay, clearly I've missed a lot around here and need to catch up.

    ??!!!

    xoxoxo

  • Greetings... nope not moving!!!

  • they used to have a really good one here in prague (it was huuuge, the location was nice and not to mention the great selection but now it's a pizzeria uuuuugh like there are not enough pizzerias out there) wtf Any chance you could ask them to open another dunkin doughnuts in prague? Maybe they just moved and I can't find them... I love videos like this (-:

  • hey curt!

  • @marniespeaks Howdy!

    :-)

  • DAMN, i knew i should have not watched this @2:30am, NOMAGE IN CRISIS!

  • Seems like a good reason to stay where I am

  • @MrRandomWritings You have excellent company out there as well. That's better than any glazed donut, I'd say.

    ;-)

  • That's a no-go. Sorry, Curt. I have to stay here.

  • @ralfonzo83 Germany needs you, Ralf. In fact, I don't think it would BE Germany anymore if you left it.

  • @OhCurt Actually that's one of the nicest things somebody said to me!

  • We'll start worrying when you go bald and yellow and develop a beer gut.

  • oh and I have no desire to live in LA. In the movie battle for LA I was rooting for the aliens. LA is just to meh for me. I could see living in Santa Barbra if I was rich.I am lucky, where I am now its dunken donuts or krispy kreme.

  • wish Id known you were going through Atlanta as I am in Augusta.

  • It is the little things...well done for issuing such a warning.

  • Two words: Krispy Kreme

  • @ChristopherMast Two more words: Poop Attack!

  • I read somewhere that Duncan Donuts coffee has the highest caffein levels of any coffee, which makes it a personal favorite of mine; as for donuts, I am more than content with the Krispy Kreme.

  • @mickmusing You're a stronger man than I, then. Krispy Kreme gave me the trots.

  • They don't have any in utah... I have to fly to Atlanta to get them... ok when I go to atlanta for work, but I am talking what I want to do and what I should be doing

  • @sunsetlover Heh! I like your line of thinking.

    :-)

  • If I couldn't get a Dunkin Donuts coffee in L.A. I'd have to find a MacDonald's. Any idea why Dunkies has no L.A. presence?

  • @P00P0STER0US No idea. I've even tried to hunt online for an answer.

  • @OhCurt It's nice to see you traveling again, I hope the adventure is pleasant.

  • @P00P0STER0US Thank you! :-)

Yeah, it's been good - challenging and productive.

  • well there are no dunkin donuts or any other donut franchise here in my remote little town, but the donuts of the bakery at my work are delish! :)

I'm loving that you are videoing again!!!

  • @Zublime75 Truth be told, there are some smaller bakeries who do donuts even better than DD. Not sure why, though, but I still gravitate toward DD whenever possible. It's like a slice of Midwestern memories for me, actually.

  • Ive always wondered what Dunkin' Donuts is like. We don't have that where I live. Good to see a video from you again Curt!

  • @Sugartalker Thanks!

Things are extra busy lately so it seems like I'm always peeking my head in and uploading or watching quickly before disappearing again... which is what's about to take place once more in less than 24 hours.

  • What?? No more dunkin' donuts?? When did they get rid of them?? You are right...people better think seriously about leaving those donuts...:-) Too bad you had to go so far to get a donut, but I'm thinking the company was worth the trip...the donut and the people company...LOL

  • @GreatGig1 You mean we had them out here and they TOOK THEM AWAY??!!

    *dies inside*

Yep, the company was even sweeter, of course. :-)

  • @OhCurt Oh yeah!! That's where you could always find a cop too...at the Dunkin' Donuts place! I'm surprised they are gone! I wonder where the cops go now?? Krispy Kreme isn't any where as good, in my opinion. I'm going to have to go on a quest to find one now...I didn't miss them until you said they were gone...LOL

  • oops, i friend requested you because i wanted to send you a youtube mail

i'll just put some of it here

i apologize for the prior barfing of mean onto your comment line. anger was seeping out of me and landing in the wrong place.

we have dunkin donuts in san diego. please allow me to treat.

  • @javgirl It happens. No sweat. And I apologize for responding to that in... well... my usual way.

    :-)

Wait - DD is down in San Diego??!!

Okay, now Los Angeles REALLY has to hang its head in shame. LOL

Thanks for the offer. Hopefully I can get down that way again sometime soon. If I do, I'll let you know.

  • @OhCurt =D i know good places to hike and take pictures, too.

  • I want a donut...NOW....It's 1:08am Eastern....

  • @tommy30507 I see no reason to hold back.

(not saying this is the best advice around, of course... lol)

  • Why we can find DD outside of US but not in some of the most popular cities withijn the states??

  • @BafflinBook This is an excellent question.

  • They are delicious.

  • @ArgentineShamrock Yes.

    !!!!

    :-)
