You just need access to various meccano parts. The engine (Mamod MEC1) itself makes the bulk of it. To make it easier, the more gears you have to play with, the better as they take some gearing down for slow speed. Add some wheels and "pretty bits" and you are away.
Steam power does molecular nuclear fusion. Titanium plate the inside of the steam engine and and double the power.
