My Chemical Romance got me started on music and I don't care how melodramatic they may be. There's so many shitty bands that try to follow that, "Emo/Scene" persona and MCR was inevitably clumped together with them. However, I don't think MCR deserve the same label as the mindlessly tragic bands that succeed them because MCR is so much more than sad kids doing sad things. MCR has real talent, tension, and genius sewn into their music.

MCR aren't emo, its just that its easy for depressed people to relate to. When i was younger i was pretty fucked up and went through a rough period and this was the only stuff i could listen to. But then it got way worse and i discovered i could no longer relate to the majority of MCR's stuff, so i moved on to radiohead, placebo, pink floyd and coldplay :D
