  • second to none its dum

  • Thumbs up if you hate Ms.Meyers for giving us this gay assignment

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if your here because your doing an assignment

  • Ironically, if NASA had of cancelled the Apollo Missions on the Launch pad, The Conspiracy theorists would be on here saying we did go to the moon!! and that NASA is hiding the truth.

  • It's actually "Houston, we've had a problem"

  • 4 3 2 1 and lift off!

  • Pause at 0:30 YAY i <3 him

  • @Cosmored2 for every 1 piece of evidence of hoax that you have, there are 50 other real evidence that proves we went to the moon.

  • Listen to the audio tape from the flight. Nobody said "Houston, we've got a problem;" What they said was "Houson, we've had a problem." Listen to the tape.

  • che palle...la pubblicità anche sul tubo ora -.-"

  • Nice to see a straight informative video without the unnecessary over dramatisation, CGI and repetition of modern documentaries!

  • I just saw Gene Kranz a week ago. He seems even more proud of Apollo 13 than Apollo 11.

    Great guy!

  • IMHO mankind's finnest hour. Human intelligence and problem solving put to the ultimate test,.

    Fantastic!

  • Cool, it is very nice video

  • April 17 1970 - Celebrate 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 13 safe return to Earth without the Moon.

  • & write a summary explaining what you learned- homework "/

  • Damn! This would make a good movie.

  • creepy 70's music lol.

  • @txff2002 hahah

  • The guys at MOCR were cool. I'm always telling my son that the cool people in life are the ones with brains, who care about accomplishing great things instead of the guys out there trying to look and act cool.

I heard the quote once, that "anyone worth their salt in life knows how to use a slide ruler"....well put.

  • @CropDusterMan I agree, brains beat style any day but don't forget, these astronauts had a TON of brains. Almost all had engineering degrees except for schmidt who was a geologist, but they all knew how to do complicated math and conversions in their heads. The only difference between them and the guys in MCOR were they rode the rockets. Still, without the controllers we don't go to the moon, hell, we don't get into earth orbit!

  • I hear you Max...I'm a huge NASA history buff...I've read most of the astronauts biographies, and you're right....these guys were wicked smart and oozed cool. Women were throwing themselves at these guys back then. When I was going through flight school years ago, it was their stories that motivated me to kick ass studying...to this day, when presented with a problem, I often ask myself..."What would Kranz do here?" It dirves my 12 year old crazy when I do it to him! ;o)

  • you know how(cool people are today) mostly idiots. but back in the 70s the people must have been genius's to solve a problem like that

  • Think how we are incapable of doing this today even with our technological advances. This is largely because our country has been hijacked to fight wars for Israel in the Middle East. Time to take back our country.

  • I'm a big fan of the Apollo project but every time I see film of the mission controllers with their glasses, crew-cuts, pocket protectors and white shirts, I can't help thinking about "Dilbert".

  • Jesus fucking christ. It is not "we've got a problem". What's so hard to understand?

WE'VE HAD A PROBLEM. Fucks sake.

  • ... i dont.. quite understand...

is it "we've got a problem"..?

  • YES

    FINALLY, SOMEBODY UNDERSTANDS

  • @youvebeenthunderstru i suppose you say " I am doing well" when someone asks you? What a tool!

  • I once read that the company who built the LEM sent NASA a joking invoice for towing the command module back to earth ... lol

  • @oomblikkies They did!!

  • Love the creepy marimba music

  • Nice video. And nice to see that none of the hoax theorists are polluting this page with their nonsense!

  • Its always nice when the hoaxers keep their insane opinions out. Its probably because they cant explain the events of Apollo 13 in terms of their ludicrous conspiracy theory.

  • @contactnoel2 yes, this one is nice..Men went to the moon

  • @contactnoel2 finally i agree with someone!

  • @contactnoel2 finally i agree with someone!

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • @contactnoel2 yes, it is great to see. Not ONE conspiracy theorist here. The Aliens abducted the lot!

  • I don't know that "we've had a problem" has been misquoted for all 39 years. Certainly it was popularized by the 1995 film, and the filmmakers purposefully changed it to "we HAVE a problem" because that's more suspenseful-like. (It IS a great flick. Ed Harris is my man! (next to the real Gene Kranz, anyway!))

  • 'Houston, we've had a problem here'

Hmm....how's it been misread for 39 years???

  • love the retro 60's sounds....

  • This mission was some scary shit.

  • The next time I complain about blowing a tire on the freeway, I should stop and think about Apollo 13.

  • These guys are real American Heros. All the way from the astronauts to the guy who sweeps the floor. Awesome generation of scientists, pilots, engineers, and workers in general. Today NASA has some great people I am sure but to think about the minimal amount of technology available then compared to now? Amazing

  • I think you can leave the floor sweeper of the list, it kind of dilutes the brand.

  • I'd get out of the traffic flow myself.

  • Thanks for posting this. It was great to see archival footage pertaining to the mission. Let's not lose sight of the fact that incredible odds were overcome and the men were brought back home safely. Not only were the astronauts extremely brave and collected, but NASA and all who worked there were as well. Seems a bit foolish to decry the choice of music for the vid., doesn't it?

  • These NASA films are just awful - they capture nothing of the real spirit of the times and are full of bombast and pretentious, pious boasting. This one is the worst - the use of marimba music must be the most inappropriate use of a soundtrack in any documentary, any time. NASA already had a huge PR problem as early as 1970 and you can sense it in these films.

  • Oh, it's also interesting how Nixon, who gutted the NASA budget after to failing to end the Vietnam war as promised, was nevertheless always in these films, a shitstain on history.

  • Really: the music is annoyning

  • I guess Americans back then were more concerned about getting the job done, than what shitass music was in the PR films. Its the other way round now and you can see the results. Its tragic that the most innovative people in history have lost their edge to iPods and grass.

  • Then why did you watch it?

  • good video

  • Men were still men back then and Political Correctness was yet a cancer on society as it is today. Imagine smoking cigarettes at NASA HQ today?!

  • You sound like me.

  • Not smoking cigarettes is not about being PC. Not smoking cigarettes is about literal cancer, not societal cancer. People didn't know about lung cancer back then which is why everyone smoked.

  • @tommybass40 Yes it's pathetic how the little wimps have stopped smoking from going on. Planes, hospitals, everywhere one used to be able to smoke, but now it's just pathetic!

  • @arthurkitchen thats because it smells like shit n makes everything around you smell like shit. People also figured out that smoke and electronics don't mix..like shit and strawberry shortcake.

  • This is great nasa history is wonderful

  • andyjg48 - WHY THE HELL DO YOU POST THE MOST POINTLESS COMMENTS.... fucking hell if you hate space stuff so much.. why spending time posting comments about how you hate it so much.. and there aint any need for saying nasa sucks.. i`d like to see you try and accomplish something like they do.. a good start would be to quit your youtube account a get a life you sad twat

  • this video was good

    wanting new friends lX

  • andyjg48-you suck!

  • A perfect example why kids should try to excel in science and math. The men and women at NASA made an impossible situation possible. Incredible.
