I personally would have killed the kick/bass on channel 2 when you mixed in the other tune...sound a bit wavy if you know what i mean?
Otherwise ...wery cool videon that shows how it sounds for us dj´s.not my favorite players though...i play my cdj800´s with the 600 mixer. a bit more advanced but basicly the same shit..:)
Thanks for the comment. Yes the idea was purely just to show what the djs hear while mixing. Not going too much into details like playing with eqs since it seems hard for many beginners to realize how it sounds like to the djs. Yes the players are not the best but gets the idea. Currently I use cdj-200 and ecler nuo 3.0 at home.
can anyone do me a mix ive got the songs so i can send them to you i just cant mix on my decks if anyone can do the mix for me please reply back thnks j
Hey this is very helpful thanks for this :) I didnt really know how cd mixing sounded from a Djs perspective and great to see how to do it exactly. Great video!!!
This is cool syntse. Its sort of like my "one handed hardcore" sessions only it shows how the CD player works. Very good, top job! Ohh and nice tracks, sounds like 1989 acid house :D
Tracks are from double CD: Federation of Techno and House. Yeps it's sort of one hand thing tho with difference that I had the webcam hanging from my necklace. Just thought that I should give small view on how to actually mix with cd players from the DJ perspective.
Glad if it has given any ideas... think I should have used tunes that are bit more in different beat, think those were apart from each other 0.15 - 0.2% so you cannot hear the offbeat so well.
Very nice man, Im only using my ears now, best way man.. however do not find that thoughout a certain song the beat changes inthat sing. For example all of a sudden the beat will be going
beat beat beat beat and then the nxt time it will go like this
beat beat beat beat and then that means you have to change the other song quite quicly because it goes out of beat
some songs might have change of speed and so called dj killers. Normally there shouldn't be those. Also you can about never be accurate enough with pitch so at some point the beat will go off you just need to bend it back to beat. If even after good try of bending you will not get it in beat then ditch the old song.
A "dj killer" as you call it could also be a record that was pressed off center and so the speed increases and decreases ever so slightly but enough to make mixing with it impossible.
Needles very rarely jump on their own and if they do its sometimes possible to fix the skip by running the record backwards with some extra pressure on the needle. Yeah LOL at the pitch comment... Nice old thread reference there :D

Very nice that you liked :) Yeps the idea of the vid was just that, to give an idea of the difference in vinyl mixing.

Naah it cannot be impossible you just need to move the pitch the same as the record increases and decreases xD... ok ok that was joke

Also if you use turntables there's possibility for the needle to jump little and then you're offbeat again. Very intresting art the mixing :)

Hehee yeps... comments start to be on levels... also noticed that I'm raising on the most discussed charts of Howtos. 5mins of fame :)

I was on most discussed for that "Heavenly Bass" mix for a day. It only lasts for a day though.
