  • eins der besten amiga spiele, das war eine tolle zeit

  • better than megadrive version??

  • Death=adder.

    Golden Axe=Awesome.

  • Remember - less clothes more armor ;]

  • Wow. Music and sound effects! Not bad

  • I played soo much with the PC version.

The C64 Golden Axe was a disappointment apart from the music!

  • is that how it played fast fighting

  • Ich fand das Spiel auf dem Amiga 500 immer ganz toll, aber definitiv zu kurz.

  • gefällt mir persönlich noch besser als die version mit dem Zwerg, hier sieht man deutlich mehr vom eigentlichen Kampf

  • Great movie though it seems to suffer from audio/video desync. The sound for hitting something appears when the attack sequence starts, not when it finishes. I think it was in sync on the Amiga so it's most likely youtube, which messed it up.

  • This is a good conversion,as a kid i played this Christmas morning 1990 and was delighted with it.The programers did a good job porting this over to the Amiga. All cramed onto a single disk too lol

  • one of the most awesome Amiga 500 games

  • C64 version music beats the music in Amiga version.

  • @q2rlz JAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJAAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJAJ

  • its a pity that golden axe beast rider on consoles these days was just an average game. didnt do justice to such a legendary classic game! :-/

  • i love the music in the amiga version.

  • One of the best conversions for the amiga ever, certainly the best beat em up on the system and in my opinion better to play than any other version! This and Shadow Of The Beast II took up most of my life in 1990!

  • ahhh .. the memories

  • @Stayrsaigh Sega's amiga titles were pretty good.

  • ahh I used to love this game!! :D

  • aaah...my childhood :)

thanks for the vid! brought back many fond memories :)

  • Is that it? I used to have nightmares over this as a child for that? Haha don't mind me, you know I loved the concept of the village on the back of a turtle but the eagle thing never really impressed me. It's like oh suddenly the path is on the back of an eagle how convenient. Still, this game is one helluva great classic.

  • I have to admit, having owned the MS-DOS port (which can be played with Adlib FM music and in 256 colors).. I sorta prefer this 32-color version better. The gameplay's a lot smoother, and the single-button controls are used quite effectively. Just wish it included ALL the music on this one.

  • VGA dos games prior to 1995 seldom(never?) used all the 256 colors because: 1. It would take too much diskspace/RAM 2. They are ports from <256 color versions Amiga version is smoother because: 1. Amiga has hardware scrolling 2. Amiga has a blitter 3. Amiga has sprites 4. Amiga has a copper chip Some Amiga OCS/ECS games has more than 256 colors on screen thanks to the copper chip (Jim Power, Lion Heart) Jim Power runs at 50/60fps on an 7Mhz A500 DOS version needs a 486 33Mhz for 60fps
  • @Ahle2 It's incredible to see old contest arguments at nowdays.

  • amazingggggggggg

  • 20:05 - Fatality

  • I've never been too sure about this game cos it lacks so much of everything. It does bring back memories though and it certainly makes me realise how much of a dull game it really was.

  • Music! Sweet!

  • memories

  • THAT ENDING IS AWESOME. HAHAHA!

Very nice arcade conversion. Genesis has much better music though.

  • I dont remember it being so close to the Arcade. Nice

  • Thank you for this!

    Amiga ending FTW! :)
