  • Hometheater, comes to mind.

  • A lot of good fuck'n power. Thats what I need.

  • Nice Video.

  • Crown's claim to fame started when they cornered the market in the late 60's with their DC 300 however by the time Crest put out their pro line in the 80's crown was tototally outclassed, crown never had the balls to print their simple "20-20khz at rated power specs" and chose to dance around this by using technical terms which were not specific or comparable to baseline measurments used by others. Crown has always been overated while the old Crest pro series was miles ahead in quality and power

  • @crazybassheadzz im lookin to spend around 200 dollars on my first DJ amplifier. could you recommend me an entry level dj amplifier thats still fairly cheap? thanks peace man

  • Dose anyone know how much a crown LPS 800 cost's I'm having a hard time.

  • with all those amps you have, how do you know how much wattage your putting through the speakers when your playing them? what im trying to ask is, how do you know when to stop turning the volume up? thanks

  • I love Crown amps, I have 3 XTi2000's ,1 XTi1000 and 1 XLS202D.

I have the XTi series because I am only 17 years old and my budget isn't that big :D

    Nice video!

  • Please tell me you don run it with the gains all the way up like that.....

  • @jdcountryboy91 why the hell not thats the way narely all pros do it as there NOT volume knobs, the volume is controlled pre amp

  • @druminirish83 I don't know what "pros" taught you that. You are messing up the gain structure when you just crank the gains all the way up and dirtying up the signal. I will PM you a short article explaining it very well since youtube doesn't allow the posting of URL's

  • @jdcountryboy91 you cant dirty up a signal by having up amps up full, clipping at any stage distorts it. pros as in people how own hire companys and did sound for very large in-national gigs. but every one does things different ways i did not say your way was wrong,i said that people are not wrong by doing it this way! iv never had a good amp make a hiss or much of a hum. god stop being so fucking self- righteous!

    Peace man!

  • @druminirish83 Chlll dude...Did you read the article I PM'ed you that a CROWN engineer wrote?? It was pretty basic but explained my argument very well. Lets try a practical example. Crank the volume knob or your computer speakers to the max without anything playing. What do you hear? HISS!! with the volume up that loud you would have to have your preamp (computer) would have to be turned way down. now turn your speakers down and you can turn your preamp up . cleaner signal...

  • @jdcountryboy91 yeah i was hammered writing that but my point stands i dont use computer pre amps, i use good quality Yamaha one that dont hiss. im not a dj im a sound engineer. My mixer is set so that my music is at 0 dB at peaks, +6 on the mixer clips the amp (actuators up full) i use the compresor / limitor to controll signal to the amps. IM NOT SAYING YOUR WRONG, im saying people arnt wrong to do it this way.

    peace.

  • @druminirish83 yeah the computer speaker concept was just a small scale example. the hiss heard is from the amp, not the preamp. I am a sound engineer as well and having seen setups like yours before and thought nothing of it until I was taught differently. the video and article I posted does a better job explaining it than I could on text here.

  • @jdcountryboy91 OK rite were not getting any where hear, my speakers don't hiss, well they do to an inaudible amount, but all systems will. I'm not wrong in my way of doing things. however you displayed a blatant LACK in technical knowledge by saying 'Please tell me you don run it with the gains all the way up like that' I'm sorry put thats a ridiculous thing to say.

can i ad that your vid about house shaking or what ever just made me think i was wasting my time talking to you.

  • @druminirish83 Dude chill. Ok lets kill this "discussion" now. I was never attacking you as a person so there's not reason for you to judge me by a silly youtube video.

  • @jdcountryboy91 actually i love a good argument and I'm glad it didn't end up as a well your ma!

good day to you sir ;)

    peace

  • @jdcountryboy91 hold on SOUND ENGINEER? iv spent more money on cases than you have in room regarding speakers and if you turned up anywhere with them even as a DJ you would be sent home! and i know how much money spent doesn't make me good, but it puts things in perspective. or mabey ill just say 6000 watts RMS.......

  • @druminirish83 This is what I'm saying about judging a person...BUT since you know "everything" about me...You would know that I'm on a crew that sets up and tears down a concert rig 5 times a week consisting of 6 Crown itech 6000's and 6 itech 4000's powering 2 line arrays of JBL vertec cabs. For bottom end we use 4 Meyer Sound 700hp's running at 2250RMS EACH. 2 Yamaha PM5D's (one FOH, one for Monitors), Aviom monitor systems, Martin intelligent lights, and other odds and ends...

  • @jdcountryboy91 well i did know that as i do know every thing about you, however its very well saying you work for someone who has all this, frankly beautiful equipment, but doubt you get to sit behind a desk during shows very often. a crew member is still a far cry from a noise boy. however i have had the luxury of using the smaller Yamaha LS9-32 with 15k behind it at shows. again I'm not saying I'm better or your worse bla bla bla

  • @druminirish83 Sounds like a nice rig ya got there...Sure I am on the crew but I was just saying that I am very familiar with pro audio gear even though I'm not the one that runs the board. Though I have ran the M7-48 at an event. We have the LS9-32 at my church back home and I was responsible for installing, learning, and training the other technicians on it when we retired our old analog console. All that just to say I don't base my audio knowledge on computer speakers and home stereos.

  • @jdcountryboy91 personally i only have a Yamaha MG166CX the LS is at a venue that im heavily involved in, if i wasn't such i lazy c@nt i would love to be a rider.

well i must say it was fun talking to you, perhaps some day when we climb the ladder of the audio world we might bump into one and other on some world tour but till then i bid good go night, on a more pleasant note, kind Sir....

  • @druminirish83 nice talkin to ya.

  • @druminirish83

watch this: (the guy doesnt use the correct terminology in some parts but he's got the concept down. He is also right when he says "MOST people do this wrong".

    youtube .com /watch ?v=tornRFVtGxI

  • about behringer, everybody knows it's copy made in asia and not in the best conditions, but Crown now seems to do the same... for budget line amps.

Please look the origin: asia china or U S A legendary factory ?

    THANKS

  • @organeu china well made..!

  • 12yr? o.O

  • What about QSC??

  • QSC is also good......Crown, QSC, Crest Audio, and Yahama are the best that you can get!

When it comes down to power and quality it will always be Crown and QSC!!

  • crown makes great amps ! they are not over rated they are rated to exactly what they put out ! not like most amps that say 2000 watts and put out 800!

  • you got to get you some k series power-soft amp bad ass amp 9000 watts at 4 ohm 1 rack space i have 6 of them

  • yeah, the K series and all of Crown amps are overated with regard to specs....that 9 k you're talking about is not a real 20-20khz with say .1% THD @9000 watts RMS.

...If you don't mind the weight (about 140 lbs) and power consumption (almost 75 amps on two heavy gauge power cords) there is really nothing that can compare to a Crest 10001 pro series power amp. Most people out there really have no clue with regards to their amps "real" power output

  • okay i have a crown ls 602 and its connected to two EV speakers, do i have to get another amp if i want to add a sub?

  • You could do it but it is a little complicated. Tell me more about your system.

  • okay well i have the two EV iForce speakers and i have that one amp i want to add a the sub but like im having trouble connecting it. like i have the other amp for the sub, they are two cerwin vega subs

  • You are going to need a Eq f you don't have one now. It needs to have a sub out.

  • oh okay then, thanks alot. i was really confused with that. lol

  • pretty cool man, ya got some good stuff their! i enjoyed.

I got 2 15s in my small ass room, in a big vented box, and was thinking og getting the XLS 802. YET i can get another amp cheaper, similar power, yet crowns the best, and id rather have clean sound, and monsterous lows lol. anyway hit me back and lettme know thx

  • Yeah I agree with you 100%.

  • Hell yeah man, i just gotta invest for a bit. cause i know its worth it.. and i know its very ballsy on power, and SQ

  • nice stuff man, i have a tp 3000 and a gemini gpa 4000

  • Nice!

  • yeah I have a ep2500 and they are great amps I used it this weekend outside for 7 hours and it was really hot outside 92 degrees and the amp ran cool all night

  • Sweet!!!!!!

  • so do u think the 202 is really worth the $300?

    ANYWAY 5*

  • Yes I definitely would recommend the 202. But if you spend a little extra you might be able to get a more powerful amp like the Behrenger 4000 which is a new amp. It is much more powerful than the 202.

  • well i waz thinking about getting one of those , but idk. i heard that those aren't to good, but thats mostly from haters , LOL

  • Which one?

  • the Behringer EP2000

  • I don;t have that model but my Behringer Amp is pretty sweet. I use it to power my 4 18 inch subs and it does one hell of a job!!!!!!!

  • so do u think the Behringer EP2000 really puts out 1300wrms @4ohms(bridged) ?

  • Yeah I think so. Maybe not 1300 wrms but something close to that.

  • kool

ay can u make a Vid of that Behringer EP2500 running? cuz iv been told that the fans are LOUD

  • Yeah sure I'm planning on making a video like that with all of my gear turned on and telling everyone like what each thing is. The behringer amps are very loud. The fans make a lot of noise.

  • Awesome

and yea thats what i waz scared of , since its going to be in my House , im not sure if those amps would be good.
